  1. I agree with mustang and mrtn, get them from Ford.
  2. Hello. For the 2010 and 2011 US Transit Connect there are two part numbers, Ford calls it a Panel, Center Finish w/Rear Defogger 9T1Z 18842 CB or w/o Rear Defogger 9T1Z 18842 BB I hope that helps.
  3. BSUPC, thanks for posting the URL to ncranchero and my antenna mounts. Using the search function is very helpful to locate related answers within the past 5 years of postings. dssmithnc, the part number of the hole cover (yes, that is what Ford calls it) as per the label on mine is 9T16 519E44 AAZJAC although the body shop parts list shows 9T1Z 13A656 AA, price $34.70 in 2011.
  4. Hello TurboCargo. Terrific post! Yes, we are interested!
  5. Good link to the brochure. The last page is important. It states Ford can change equiptment/options at any time after publication of the brochure. It is standard language in any vehicle brochure. I looked at a few dealer websites and displayed the window stickers of about 20 Transit Connects (various trim levels), 2014 and 2015's. I could not find the eyeglass holder listed on any of them. The overhead console was listed, but no eyeglass holder. It would be helpful if our forum members that have the eyeglass holder check their window sticker (the dealer should have given it to them on delivery) and tell us if their eyeglass holder is listed.
  6. Hello windguy. My 2010 Transit connect came with the same cheap panels. They were the first thing I changed. Adrian Steel had (has) replacements. In 2011, Ford then added proper pockets to the wagon models enabling 2010 owners to retrofit from Ford. As for the 2014/2015 Transit connect models, the best I can find are flat replacement dark grey plastic panels offered on higher trim levels of the 2014/2015 Transit Connect. I have yet to find any aftermarket supplier that has 2014/2015 rear door pockets.
  7. Hello westshore. In my 2010-2011 parts catalogue, I find two part numbers, one is very close to the number you have. W706635SSYRB and W703442SSYRB. They are listed for $1.72 from Ford.
  8. Hello grahamgrocho. The 2013 and 2014 are completly different vans. I have the 2010-2013 version. Yes, the cargo and wagon versions have the same two tie down hooks in the rear, plus a hook in the upper left side, also in the rear. The seats come out by removing the Torx bolts holding them down to the floor if you need the extra space to fit your motorcycle. With the seats folded forward (or removed), you have an additional two tie down hooks available on either side where the seat backs lock into place. Our forum members with 2014-2015 Transit Connects can help with details of their models.
  9. grahamgrocho, what year Transit Connect are they renting? 2010-2013 has the interior height (but maybe not the interior length), the 2014-2015 has the interior length (in the long wheel base), but may not have the interior height. We have had numerous posts from forum members transporting motorcycles in the 2010-2013 Transit Connect's, so tie downs have never been a problem.
  10. Tom, you are correct about the Traction Control Switch "hinding". Although it is in the 2013 owners manual, it was either an option (i have not found a 2013 that has the switch), or it never made it to production.
  11. Hello Tom. I have the 2010 wiring and Workshop Manual from Ford. I cannot think of any other forum members that have manuals. The only thing I can think of that is different from 2010 to 2013 concerning wiring is the addition of fog lights. There is one item I would love to confirm is the Traction Control Switch that is shown in the 2013 owners manual. No forum members have confirmed it exists other than in the owners manual. I would like to see how they disable the traction control system.
  12. Hello Pariminder S Gill. As per the 2010 wiring diagram (2013 should be the same), no relay in the circuit. As you wrote, flashing comes straight from the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
  13. Boomerweps, in the 2010-2013 Transit Connect, the tow hook is in a pouch with the jack and lug wrench. One of our forum members should be able to confirm if it is in the same place in the 2014.
  14. As per Automotive News, 11/18/2014....Ford’s Transit Connect, manufactured in Spain and shipped to the United States as a passenger vehicle, comes with rear seats, seat belts and windows. Once they land at the port in Baltimore, Ford converts about 70 percent of them into cargo vans by removing the seats, windows and seat belts. It is the same strategy Chrysler is gearing up for now with the ProMaster City small van, which is built in Turkey as a passenger vehicle. Mustang, none of us, myself included, get all our posts correct! Keep posting. We need all the technical posts we can get on the 2014-2015 Transit Connects.
  15. Latest 2014 recall..... recall covers 16,091 2014 Ford Transit Connect vans in the U.S. in which seat belt fasteners might not have been tightened properly. If the fasteners did not meet initial torque specifications, they could loosen over time and fail to function as intended, increasing injury risk, Ford said. Dealers are being told to replace and properly tighten the fasteners and the cargo tie-downs in the cargo area. The vans were built from November 2013 through September 2014 in Spain
  16. Nice help Blaine. In the future, I am sure other forum members will be using your instructions!
  17. jallenz, eBay has the manuals, also available from Ford dealers.
  18. Hello 2013TransitConnect. Look at my posting back in 2011. It will show you how to display your gas millage average and many other items on your instrument cluster LCD screen for 2010-2013 Transit Connects. Over the past years, I also have posted a few pictures in my gallery of my various gas millage averages. http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/636-fuel-mileage-display/#entry4606
  19. Hello jallenz, it is disappointing that no 2014-2015 owners have posted they have purchased a Ford wiring diagram manual. It would help our forum members that will be working on electrical items. As per the 2010-2013 Transit Connects, there does not seem to be any standard wiring color for devices that are only "key on".
  20. Windguy, I am glad you finally got your Transit Connect. I am looking forward to your observations.
  21. Ma4dness, forum member bikesnbreakdowns did some ride height work on his first generation Transit Connect. Take a look at his postings http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/789-operation-adventure-transit/#entry3669 or try from fswerks transit http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/924-i-finally-did-it-2-lift-on-my-tc/#entry4133
  22. carlb28, sorry, I do not have the wiring diagram manual for the 2nd generation in the US, Transit Connects. That is what is needed to show the exact wiring for the taxi rear cabin lighting and its switch. The body builders guide just shows a general layout of the wiring without going into detail. The workshop manual shows the location of the switch, once again, sorry, I do not have the 2nd generation workshop manual. Have any forum members purchased the Wiring and Workshop manuals for the 2014 or 2015 Transit Connects? We can use some help. Thanks.
