  1. Hello kjrd. yes, the second row of seats can be removed. Just remove the torx bolts holding the brackets to the floor. You will then have a flat floor from the back of the front seats to the rear doors.
  2. Nice dbcooper! Better then bringing the thread back to life, you provided the answer!
  3. Hello bvz2000. Here is the body builders URL with all the dimensions you need. https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/2010/2010_Transit_Connect.pdf mrtn, thanks for replying, but bvz2000 is asking for dimensions to the rear seats and i am sure your bulkhead is behind your front seats.
  4. During the 1970's Chrysler had turn signal indicators on the top of its front fenders. Under hard acceleration they would illuminate. As G B L mentioned, the idea has been around for many years.
  5. OneBulletDan, I set my torque wrench to the specification in the manual for my 2010 with steel wheels, 66 foot lbs. The dealer you went to is wrong. I wonder if they pay to replace the lug nuts/studs they strip? Or, if you do not carry a large breaker bar with you, will they make a no charge road call if you get a flat and cannot get the lug nuts off with the supplied small wrench?
  6. Hello bvz200, you mention factory warranty, the 2012 had 3 years 36,000 miles basic, 5 years 60,000 miles powertrain. If it has a transferable extended warranty, ask to see it. Let us know.
  7. Sorry bvz2000, the panels behind the sliding doors are not removable. There is an aftermarket company that sells the glass and gasket if you want to cut out the panel. Here is their info http://www.parkin-acc.com/. Also, I think 2011 was the first year for factory rear side windows in the US.
  8. Fredde, I noticed you tried the UK site but got no replies. Thanks G B L and mrtn for responding. Maybe the UK forum will come up with something.
  9. Hello Fredde, try the UK Transit Connect forum, http://fordtransit.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=54, since you have a diesel (no diesel's here in the US) there may be something specific to the diesel. Good Luck.
  10. mrtn is correct on his info except rear fog lamps were standard on the first generation Transit Connect in the US.
  11. In the UK, 65 plate means a vehicle from 1 September 2015 to 29 February 2016 In the US, that would normally be a 2016.
  12. Hello Damon1974. If by "transponder" you mean remote locking there is no key fob, the key has buttons. The key picture you posted is just the normal key. I think the first thing you should do is find anther Ford dealer. As Ccrew wrote, the dealer can tell what you need by just looking at the key.
  13. Hello Scott. G B L has a nice idea. I checked the wiring diagram for the 2010 Transit Connect and, as you wrote, there are only two speaker outputs. Adding a second set of speakers to the existing speakers may work, or it may blow out the audio circuit. Much safer to go with G B L's idea.
  14. jrm223. Nice posting and nice pictures!!
  15. Hello PVL 113, I have some info for you, but first, when you say "mount on the roof", do you mean the slope above the windshield where the antenna mounts? Let me know.
  16. Hello stickman89, I did the same this winter when it snowed, pulled the fuse.
  17. mrtn, thanks for reminding me. The few times I needed to lift the van, I also made a block of wood with a slot to fit.
  18. Correct GBL, the first generation Transit Connect also has arrows pointing to the correct location. Campcrazy is also correct, the seams are in the middle of the correct lift point.
  19. Hello Philip. I am just running a handheld VHF rig in my Transit Connect so the power outlet does fine. For a full size HF or VHF/UHF rig I would run both positive and negative cables to the battery and fuse both sides. I have no comment on placement since I have the first generation model with plenty of room under the dash on the passenger side. What are you using for an antenna and where are you mounting it? Check the picture of my antenna placement in my Gallery.
  20. Hello Campcrazy. Just click on my name and then chose Gallery from the list on the left side of the screen. I originally bought the European third brake light to replace the roof mounted light. I decided against that idea and used it for a mount for a ham radio antenna. Yes, just unscrew it from the inside.
  21. The tow hook comes with the vehicle. It is included with the pouch that is fastened with the jack in the left rear of the vehicle.
  22. Hello Campcrazy, as per the owners manual for the 2010 Transit Connect (most of which should be the same as your 2013) here is the explanation for the defroster symbol on the fan switch........ Fan speed adjustment: Controls the volume of air circulated in the vehicle. For optimum defrosting performance, set the dial to at least the 3 or 4 position near the (defrost) symbol.
