  1. True , My Mix is 75-25. If you can switch the polarity of your machine they make a great gas less wire that works for a lot things and makes the welder go anywhere!
  2. Cool Gas or Gas-less Get a good Respirator the Sealant and the Galvanized metal is not good for you , Not just dust a carbon filter
  3. Wire Feed?, Here's something to look forward to, When you get old you shrink so you will fit in the new one better
  4. Check The load rating number on the tire and that is what it can carry safely at 44 Lbs. Find a Transfer station or salvage yard and put your TC on the Scale and then you can see what the load is and adjust the pressure. When you have a tire come apart on the interstate it gives you a whole new restpect for tire pressures.
  5. Mrtn if they use as much salt or road deicer on the Estonian roads as here you will be getting a new one at some point.
  6. Mine is a 2014 Xlt wagon most of the time it is me and 600 lbs of tools. my 24500 total miles the average is 25.3 . I run 40 lbs in the tires,if I run under that the tire pressure warning tends to come on. The 215-55-16 on my rig have a 97H . With a load rating of just over 1600 lbs. As the side wall on these tires is limited in height running them soft makes them more vulnerable to road hazards than they already are. The Oem tire for your TC is P205/65R15 95T XL This is a 1521 max load tire at 50 Lbs. If the tires on your TC have a max pressure of 44 lbs they are lighter duty then the Oem, these have a 908-1200 Lbs max load . These tires do not want to be run soft on your TC . Check the max load rating on the tires you have , Make sure the dealer did not save money at your expense
  7. 103west43rd is correct up to 2013. 2014 and after the hook is no longer standard , the part number is NOZ-17A954. The Reference Number is 17A954 The tow hook mount is removed from the rear of the 2014 and later TC if the Hitch option is purchased .
  8. The round cover is over the socket for the tow hook to use if the TC needs towing. The Hook is standard in Europe, but you must buy it in the states.
  9. It should not be an issue but on select TC's the left half shaft seal can quietly leak. The way to check the Fluid is not convenient, and often over looked. This could lead to a low level. If the level is proper then it could be the computer in the car getting use to your driving habits. I always check the level first because one of the major causes of Automatic transmission Shifting problems is the fluid level.
  10. Thanks but I was hoping for Megazones info.
  11. How many miles, Have you checked the fluid level.
  12. The seats fold completely flat on the LWB version. Here is a window sticker for an XlT to show what the standard features are. Because of the full head liner the sound proofing is much better. The headliner does make the addision of a Roof rack harder, So if you want a rack get a TC with that option from the factory. http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=616
  13. Nice job, when the info becomes available update the Post. The ability to raise the Front and Rear is the most interesting part . Looking forward to more Information. Again Thanks
  14. Correct , The plug is forward of the left half-shaft. The engine wants to be hot and Running in park or neutral the oil should just be at the hole. If you pull the bolt out with the engine off , a lot of fluid pours out of the hole. The fill on the Top of the transmission near the left end of the Cam and Valve cover.
  15. Very Nice , A few more Pictures would be great Did you lower you rig, and could you raise your rig ? Do you have the Weight ratings for the coil overs ?
  16. If it is no hassle to get to the dealer it might be a good Idea. I always have the 3M stuff around so it was less that 10 Minutes for me. The Rubber parts on cars seem to fall off all the time regardless of age I guess I am use to it .
  17. Here is a forum topic on the Transmission leaking oil, and the check procedure for checking the oil is all there. It will also alert you to a potential issue to be aware of . This should help Cheers http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/3064-left-front-axle-leaking-transmission-fluid/
  18. While you were there you should check the transmission fluid level, you need the car running and the dust cover off to check the fluid. There is no dipstick and no electronic tell tale. Even a very slow leak will add up with 5000 mile oil changes.
  19. I think larger tires on the 16" wheels are the only way to go. Larger wheels make the tire sidewall smaller relative to the total tire diameter. If they would fit I would consider a 15" wheel and tire with the same total diameter as the 215-55-16 inch , this would make the tires ride better and take abuse better. They won't , the brakes in the front are too big. The brakes are a good thing
  20. The wagon comes with a wiper and a washer on both the Lift gate and Barn door Versions . The front windshield washer fluid tank supplies liquid to the windshield and rear windows in both versions. the wipers and washer work well The Shape of all Vans creates a big vacuum that puts the dirt on the rear window.
  21. Nice Report thanks. About to change Mine.
  22. The AC was Optional here also on the lower cars, The Options here are sold in packages it would be nice to have every thing Ala cart . The seat heaters are part of an up scale option that gives you more stuff you do not need or want. I think that seat heaters are not big in Florida. The Wagon I bought was the XLT and it had just about everything I needed.and the only Option on the car was the Alloy wheels. The Cars I Bought 15 years ago would be Base cars to day.
