  1. If it is rust, that is a warranty issue. Have the dealership look at it. Let their techs pull panels and peek under with a flashlight. Look on top. Do you have roof rails, or caps over the little holes. If any water is getting in, that would be a slow leak would develop. Then that moisture could trap between the roof & headliner, causing untreated metal to rust. With motion, the rusty water leaks down to where it is visible to you.

    LIFT!!

I have studied this to death over the past year and have concluded that 215/65R16 (27") is the largest diameter tire that will go under the front without modification. Change the width or move the wheel out and you are almost certain to rub. The real limitation is directly in front and behind the wheel, not above it. Lifting may provide a little bit more clearance but I suspect in front and behind the tire, it will probably be minimal. I was trying to see if I could get a 235/60R16 on the front and with the added width it was a no go. I certainly would like to be proven wrong. What size tire are you thinking about precisely?

  3. Warning from their instructions: So, you better not fire up the ole CB to talk to truckers while your Rostra CC is active, because CB is 27MHz range and might kill your car?! That sucks. As for adding cruise control, why not add the factory CC? You swap the steering wheel (get one from a wreck at the junkyard?) and then there's like 2 or 3 spots in the computers that need to be 'enabled' and then you have factory CC. As I recall reading, the settings are in PCM, ABS and maybe one other spot (TCM?). You may need to have a Ford dealer use their computer to enable the settings, although I've read about people doing it on the Ford Focus cars (which our vans are based on) with Forscan or maybe Focccus and an ELM327 adapter. $20 for a steering wheel puller if you don't already have one, maybe like $75-150 for a steering wheel and I think I paid around $25-30 for my own ELM327 off Amazon. Not having to cut & solder wires under the dash - priceless.
