    Knock, Knock

I learned some time ago that starting something like a blog begets a major responsibility and obligation. Like a successful web site, it must be constantly attended to and updated. I have found that contributions to appropriate message boards related to one's activities is far easier and less time consuming. There will usually be a core group of experienced users who contribute the most, and become relied upon for "expert" opinions. If this trend persists for long enough, a board can become a very useful resource. It will start to attract others and gain a reputation. This board has obviously not achieved that kind of status. It is a typical repository for quick and desperate one-time queries by people looking for an answer to something they can't solve. If they find it, they may never return. I always feel a bit of an obligation to return the favor by at least tying up loose ends, and helping others if possible. My story here was just that - besides a cry for help, it was a story. I sensed that others wanted to know how it ended. I could have just disappeared, but I thought others deserved to know how this story ended - even if I became the brunt of my own folly. As an "old guy" with a decent education, and what I perceive as being an ability to present information in a legible and sometimes entertaining format, I sometimes get involved in the challenge of creating little stories within posts, that offer something a bit less dry than most. I may be misguided.

  2. I don't recall offhand what offset my 19" rims are, but I've got 245's all around with no stretch and zero poke. Fitment looks factory to be honest. The nice thing is I'll have zero rub when I lower it. Check the rims thread I posted my specs there.

  3. Bedliner the dash? Minus well bedliner everything else too.... I'm still needing to bedliner the roof to my Ford E350... Those gutters look like crap when water finds it's way under the seam sealer.....

  5. So I came across this forum this morning while researching personal issues that I have with my '15 TC (like those stupid perimeter lights when the doors are open!) and saw this thread while searching for roof rack options. Originally, I was figuring I'd do the VanTech J1203B 3.25" permanent racks (http://vantech.us/Transit-Connect-2014-On-J1000-rack-3-Bar-50-bars-Black-J1203B.htm) since I'm not paying Ford a grand for just rails. Then I saw the post earlier about universal rails, so I searched VanTech website for the universal rails and found that they now have 69.5" TC-specific rails, although it doesn't specify what years they fit, but the site does indicate that it lines up with the factory holes, at least. http://vantech.us/Vantech-Ford-transit-connect-roof-tracks-695-Silver-R16.htm?categoryId=-1 This could at least be another good option for those that want rails with sliding cross-bars.
