  1. Wow! You're really moving out there. my MPG is lousy! 17! you all will notice that ambient temp is @ five-five for the double nickel i was beginning to think that everyone was get 27 for better, and I got a lemon I'm using the free version of Torque Lite. Haven't been able to read transmission temp. Is anyone able to see their granny with Torque Lite or Torque Pro?
  2. If you're building out a camper, look for a wagon. Less room with the seats, but you could remove them. At least you will have air conditioning duct work built into the rear. And the wagon has headliner and insulation.
  3. I would worry more about the Dodge Ram breaking down. At least with the Ford, we know that the mechanical issues are minimal. Biggest concern is the transmission, and it looks like it will be okay with regular fluid exchanges.
  4. From what I see, water gets in from the windows. The seals don't keep all the water out. That's why the bottom of the door have drainage.
  5. My dealership ordered a part and it was wrong. Now they have to figure out which part to order. When they get that right, I can post the correct part number.
  6. For function, reliability, durability......I would not buy the Dodge. Dodge small vehicles are not reliable. I would recommend a Ram truck with diesel. Jeep Wrangler is a great off-road vehicle. But most small Chrysler products are not very good. I suppose if ProMaster was a good van, you would see them everywhere. But you don't. Not do you see Chevrolet. You see Ford, Mercedes, and Nissan. Check out what Dodge van owners have to say. Walk through the service bay, ask Dodge techs what they think. That's how I decided not to buy an Explorer. Dozens of police cars with the transmission out.
  7. Fuses are under the hood, behind the glove box, and under a panel on the passenger side under the 3rd window.
  8. Sometimes it's mechanical. Transmission may need a rebuild. Internal parts wear after so many miles. In some cars, there's an update or reflash for the transmission control module. In some cases, you can clear the adaptive learning strategy, and the TCU will relearn the shift firmness.
  9. Aftermarket bolt on are always expensive. But still better than OEM pricing. Some aftermarket items are better quality.
  10. It looks like the car is lowered for aesthetics, and will encounter driveability challenges.
  11. You bought an engine from a Plymouth dealer. Then you took the engine apart. And you want a refund after you took the engine apart.
  12. I would get a piece of plastic, epoxy it in place to protect the sensor, and the problem is solved. Sensor works fine when dry. Keep it dry. Nobody will see that patch job. Or you can find a replacement front grille fascia, and change it out to a new part. It's probably an entire new front end piece, bumper cover, grille, all I 1 body part.
  13. For the battery, you will need to remove the air filter box, the power supply fuse box, battery tray cover, and disconnect the ground from the body.
  14. Since you are local, I have spark plugs which fit your van. They are brand new. Leftovers from when I drove a 5.0.
  15. The cable will pay off and pay for itself.
  16. The connector is on sale right now, on Amazon. I just ordered.
  17. Mine does not require much effort. Try rocking the seat back gently. It may require a little encouragement if it is sticking. Or let the dealership try. It could be replaceable under bumper to bumper warranty.
  18. I bought 6 gallons of Mercon LV from Rock Auto. I'm lucky it didn't damage enroute. Plastic wrap on the box, and the shipping label. No padding. No protection. What a bargain. About the same price for 24 quarts, as the price for 12 quarts.
  19. Not the same. They are referring to a pressurized machine. Dealership and better shops use a machine without a pump or pressure. Your van has an thermostatic bypass valve. Until the fluid reaches operating temperature, it bypasses the cooling system.
  20. They say that trucks like that get the ladies.??????????☹️☹️
