A much simpler solution.Looking at my 2016 rear door check arm I noticed a 1/8in bulge on the side arms.I cut a 1/4 in slit in a piece of 1/16 x2x3 aluminum and can insert it between the door and the bulge.Works like a champ

For those who have managed to disable approach lights,does this affect interior lights?My 2016 cargo light is unswitched and only comes on if a door is opened.

Not sure what factory channels look like but I installed the weatherguard mounting channels( see weatherguard picture,similar to yours?) and weatherguard 218-3-03 racks.Very industrial looking but will haul ladders or sheet goods. Intrested also. Laid a straight edge across the outside of my 2016 and see a bit of a bow.Maybe there's enough flex to get a good seal.Give it a good spray with a hose and let us know.
