  1. Nice if your state does not require front plates.
  2. Installed Sears DieHard 29" on passenger side. Working fine so far.
  3. Metal. Most likely aluminum. Less likely, stainless steel. Not copper. Not rubber. Not fiber.
  4. To the best of my knowledge, no cars come with the hooks. No make or model sold in USA. But all the kids love buying them. Every little import, which does not come with a hook or tow ring, has a great big hook or tow ring installed.
  5. Why do I remember The Pacific North-West as a constant downpour? My years in Washington, made me buy rain gear, which I did not own in California. Seattle isn't "Rain City" anymore?
  6. Now that I think about it, I didn't get the tow hook, or the funnel. I could have used that funnel. Pricing and availability may vary.
  7. Too bad we don't have some kind of award to recognize his genius with. On that note, I still want to taste his "She Crab Soup".
  8. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JBR9NAQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Intall this. Gasket is built in. You will never need to change another washer, or turn the wrench, ever again.
  9. Drain plug thread pitch is M12X1.75. 1/2" crush washer will be perfect.
  10. 52 seconds in. "it was on sale at Wal*Mart" Does this guy own a shop? Or is he just another home wrencher? I can't think of any shops where they are buying from Wal*Mart when it's on sale for $5 a quart. Me. I buy oil on sale, or when there's a coupon. But if you have a shop, you need to buy from your distributor, and get a fast delivery.......who has the time to go shopping at Wal*Mart, when you're trying to run a business?
  11. You can get pretty creative on a motorcycle if you needed to bring your cat and a litter box.
  12. How is it, that you couldn't find it in the owners manual?
  13. These are on your OEM wheels. Or you can buy a new set. Either way, the instructions are in your owners manual on how to reset them. You can buy them from your dealership. Or source them online. Or buy them from a local auto parts store. Pricing will vary. Unless you have your own tire machine, you will need to have a shop take the tire off the wheel, and install it for you.
  14. Just this weekend, a person went to change the oil, and could not find the filter. I guess that is why these forums exist. Every once in awhile, on car forums, you actually get someone who works as a tech on that type of vehicle. Or someone who is an engine or transmission builder. But the best is when regular people share their creative solutions. Like the guys who installed cameras on the rear trim panel to overcome the van's blindspot. My favorite camera install, as far as being creative, is Doc Hoy putting cameras on his door mirrors, then installing the monitors on the dash next to the A-pillars, so that he can still instinctively turn his head towards the mirror.
  15. It looks like an interesting product. I'm skeptical that they can blend an ATF to meet all of those specs from so many manufacturers. Just for Ford, it says Mercon V, LV, & SP. The bucket also says, "fill for life". Almost too good to be true. I get the feeling that this is about the same thing as what Jiffy Lube uses. Looks like something that is sold to shops who don't want to carry 30 different fluids. Let me know how it's working for you. I worry about transmission slipping and shifting hard when you use "multi spec" ATF. And if anyone is sending in their used transmission fluid for analysis, that data would be interesting also.
  16. How small is the hole? The cap is pretty big. My plan was to use one of those hoses that attach to the retail bottle. Is the hole too small?
  17. On mine, the OEM wipers are 29", not 28". OEM left & right wiper are different parts, with different part numbers. I just installed the correct MotorCraft part on the driver side, and a Sears DieHard 29" wiper on the passenger side. Now I can compare them to see if 1 works better than the other, and which will last longer. My rainy season has not started yet. In this part of the country, we get atmospheric rivers, El Nino, & La Nina. When our storms come, streets and freeways flood, reservoirs overflow, dams break, and bay water rises & literally submerges the road along the waterfront.
  18. What you are describing in power difference is not 4 HP. Unless your old engine was in such poor condition that it underperformed.
  19. I think that the bypass & drainback specs on the FL-400S & FL-910S are close enough that it would not make much difference. Internal parts of both filters are almost identical. So far, I haven't had a problem. Same controversy with using FL-1A, which is significantly larger, on cars which call for FL-400S. Typically, the people who are against doing it, don't do it. And people who are doing it, don't have problems, but don't factually yield any tangible results. In all those years, not 1 Windstar, Ranger, or whatever, ever blew up because of the larger filter. Plenty of Pintos blew up, but that's another story. I had a Mustang II.
