Keyless Entry Keypad
windguy replied to windguy's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
@kookmeyers - I saw your last post from Wed AM via email but it's not showing up here probably due to this forum upgrade going on. Glad you are willing to give the keypad another try. Keep us posted and we'll help you sort it out and get it working. -
Keyless Entry Keypad
windguy replied to windguy's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking for help with. is the keypad working now? are the two key fobs both synced as well after you programmed the keypad? they all have to be done at the same time. -

windguy replied to windguy's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
so where do you stand now on getting the keypad and fobs reprogrammed? you have the keypad and two fobs, correct? sounds like you've made some progress from your original post. owing a favor to your GF might be more expensive than just getting another keypad -
Keyless Entry Keypad

before I got my keypad, I recall seeing some videos on youtube that discuss how to replace the battery. probably not a sanctioned thing by Ford but doable. -
I think you are looking for a manzere or a bro, not a bra

Why Did My TC Come With a Cargo Divider?
windguy replied to DapperVan's topic in Accessories and Modifications
it's a ploy by Ford to get you to buy the mounting hardware for $1,000 -
@K9Transit - welcome to the forum Are you the same as the K9Sprinter from the Sprinter Forum? I think he lives in NY too.

2015 Van Ordering Experience
windguy replied to windguy's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Owner Impressions
I would base the timing on when the van leaves the factory, not the availability of the window sticker. If all vans are still being processed in Maryland, then that's your wild card based on how long that can take and then getting on a transport to the west coast. expect the worst and hope for the best. Your early June date seems reasonable. Good luck! -

sorry to hear of your woes if the Ford mechanic didn't fix the problem the right way the first time and the problem happened again, it might have more to do with the mechanic's work and not the vehicle itself. But, there have been a few posters along the way that were never able to get it right after multiple attempts to get it fixed. not sure why when the majority isn't having this problem. Have you asked the service advisor what SSM they are using? That info should be shown on your paperwork as I posted above.

that link doesn't work for me but I did find some interesting fodder in another TC Forum when looking for a 2017 Ordering Guide. See link below my fellow "Self proclaimed members who have come over from the UK Transit Connect forum with their bully tactics." And all along I thought we were "a$$wipes". http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/61049-transit-connect-forum-redirects/#entry971352- 33 replies

Windows for New Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van
windguy replied to Odennehy's topic in Accessories and Modifications
I'd like to see the vent you have in mind. instead can you provide a website link to where you plan to get them? -
@Chris Kurtz - please check your paperwork from the first seal repair and see if the dealer referenced one of the two SSM's I mentioned in my post above (SSM 44938 or SSM 45441). Shown below is the list of parts under the SSM that was used to fix my seal leak.

Windows for New Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van
windguy replied to Odennehy's topic in Accessories and Modifications
I think you made a good investment. I have side and rear windows from the factory and the van has great visibility even though the rear side panel isn't windowed like it is in a wagon model. -
excited to see how you finish your van. please take lots of pics and keep us posted

Black Headlights. 2015 Only?
windguy replied to DapperVan's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Owner Impressions
this is an interesting thread having never looked at the this part on the van, mine are black for a 2015 XLT Cargo model. chrome would look okay too since the van is silver. personally, it wouldn't matter to me. I first thought the whole van was pretty pedestrian looking with a -5 on the gnar factor scale of 0-10. Doesn't even register on the babe magnet scale. I've grown to like the design a little more now so it's moved up a few notches. For me, it's all utility and no curb appeal. If I were buying a new van today I'd go with a 2016 for better reliability and safety since it should have all the minor flaws of the previous 2014 and 2015 models fixed. Also, I'd want to get the BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, which wasn't available on the '14 and '15 models. Have you checked out the Promaster City? -
can't wait to see your pics. thanks
