  1. The top middle brake light did not as it was offset from center originally but what could be illegal about the tail lights to your knowledge?
  2. The easiest way would be just getting generic individual connectors for all wires. Well insulated, naturally. I've always wondered why did Ford send old style tail lights to the US models while European models of the same years coming from the same assembly line were equipped with new style clusters. Perhaps overstocked old clusters dumped on a new market region. Europe needed a freshup but the US buyers were not aware of it.
  3. They don't even connect to pre-facelift European models directly. You'll need the plug and hook up the wiring to it. For some reason the US got the facelift version (2010-2013) with pre-facelift tail lights (-2009)
  4. The 1st Gen Connects are made in Turkey. The clamping method you describe is widely used in Europe. Not that Turkey would be in Europe but the Connects are designed in Europe..
  5. The guy I mentioned does all kinds of conversions, even from the basic radio to Sync3 and everything between. He posts about it periodically in the facebook group.
  6. There's a guy in Britain doing these conversions (Sync2/3) and it's expensive, to the level of the best aftermarket units.
  7. I have had alloys on Mk1 Connect, the bolts were long enough. How much does the thread extend from the seat when the wheel is in place?
  8. Can't have amber lights facing forward in Europe apart from turn signals. Other than that, side only. Fog lights can be white or yellow.
  9. No, I have a TC, I know where the switches are located, I mean is your turn signal stalk "ON" when the car acts this way?
  10. Not necessarily. My friend just experienced this in his Accord. Went to limp mode every time at 80 mph, no other symptoms, no noticeable clutch slip but it still turned out to be just that.
  11. Could be something as simple as the clutch slipping.
  12. Not me, no tides around here and beaches are strictly off limits for motor vehicles.
  13. Nope. I bought a Fiesta ST leather steering wheel from the same era for my 2006. Had to swap the original airbag in place of the Fiesta one. Don't know about the facelift model one like yours. Transit Connect'ed facebook group may be able to help as the steering wheel replacement is a popular mod.

  15. Same thing happens to Safari and Chrome in this forum as well. It'll pass.
  16. 1.5 diesel 130 hp/221 lb/ft.
  17. USB isn't good for a fridge tho.
