Most cars sold in Europe are wagons for the obvious reason. Sedan has no function for family or hobby use.

2014 TC, where to mount cell phone/gps?
mrtn replied to mmontminy's topic in Accessories and Modifications
Correct. The only minus is junkies getting interested in anything they can rip out of the car. Does your Pioneer "listen" to CANBUS signals on light switch position, speed etc? -

Or stick these standard DRL LED strips in the bumper slits: -

These were extremely popular here late in the 80s/early 90s: Toyota LiteAce, Mitsubishi Delica and Nissan Vanette were the most visible ones. Seemed boring to me back then but would like to have one right now.

Used one in the nineties. Worked ok. Not all phones stick to a magnet all that well.

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
mrtn replied to 103west43rd's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
So there is no relay socket at the dedicated spot in the fuse box at all? -
Pretty sure you can unsubscribe from their mailing list and it is not spam if you forgot to tick "Do not send me anything" when placing the order.

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
mrtn replied to 103west43rd's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
I have the factory option (high beam illuminates at 50%), so probably yes. -
In case of a sticker, yes, but the original oil cap has Castrol printed directly on it. As you know, Motorcraft is not a manufacturer of anything, it's just Ford's brand name of stuff they source from actual manufacturers and guarantee the quality by their own branding. So there can be anything in the engine from the factory.

Left half of the right space is reserved for "Auto Start-Stop ON/OFF" switch. I have seen this button in a showroom TC. It has a capital A in a circle, like ®

My Ecoboost engine has "Ford recommends Castrol" written on the cover as well as Castrol logo on the oil cap. Fully synthetic, naturally.

That's the policy of your local dealer or distributor. Our base radio (the one with a tiny dot matrix LED screen) has USB/MP3/Bluetooth as standard, no extra cost.

Sliding Doors Don't unlock
mrtn replied to correllbil's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs & Remote Start
My sliding door lock was really lazy in cold. Did not work at all below -20°C (-4°F). Also, there have been several reports of sliding door remote lock/unlock acting up. My central locking control module was failing to the point where the alarm installer rewired everything to make the fob work. -

Transit Loosing Ignition power while driving, please help!
mrtn replied to PATWS6's topic in Powertrain Tech
Mk1 diesels have had regular issues with alternator grounding. Worth checking. -
I'm just happy you don't have a hammer.

An auto electrician will probably find the fault in half and hour. -
I just ordered from Amazon.

I did expose the adhesive pads just to make sure it sits really tight and would not budge. Mine did not include the gap tools either but I think this particular model does not need them, Ford has nice wide panel gaps from the factory

Someone in Germany did the modification and it also required the full Mondeo loom to work. The stalk does not control the speed.

Ha-ha. Wouldn't hurt the aestethics a bit.
