  1. You can't rationalize Half Wheeled Skateboard's behavior. As he personally never asks for help, he tells.
  2. Now I am never leaving this forum. Just for this guy harassing other members.
  3. Sold my Connect as well. Not decided on the next van yet.
  4. Oh yeah, my bad. Weird to dig up a 8 year old thread tho ?
  5. https://www.hotcars.com/this-400hp-ford-transit-connect-van-may-be-the-ultimate-sleeper/ Heh.
  6. It's 2005 turbo diesel.
  7. I have very long arms so it has not been an issue. The first move would be soaking a rag in diluted dishwashing fluid and rubbing as far you can standing up outside the car, then inside. Finish up with windex+paper, polish with a clean and dry rag.
  8. When I had the same issues it tuned out to be a worn out high pressure pump. Worth taking it to diesel specialist.
  9. These are old enough to be legal in the US. There are plenty of normal sized Japanese cab-over vans of the same shape. All really cool. They were imported en masse from Finland back in the switch of 80/90s when I could not afford anything but a used Lada and they were really popular because of post soviet spawn of private business and the vans were very practical for that. Mitubishi Delica, Nissan Vanette, Toyota Liteace/Townace, etc.
  10. You're really bad at foruming. Or everything really.
  11. Probably by using carbon steel blades on glass.
  12. The transmission manufacturer (Aisin) recommends 50K miles for severe service (lots of stop and go, trailer pulling, hills etc.) You can change it more frequently if you like. Use transmission specific low-viscosity oil only: 31256774/31256775.
  13. There is no separate amplifier for the base radio. It's all integrated.
  14. Off topic: jrm223, is that a semi caravan you have there? if yes, what do you use to haul it?
  15. I have read of people retaining the original head unit in the glove box for this exact reason.
  16. Rodents chewing on wire insulation has nothing to do with the plasticiser used in it. They have always done it since the dawn of cables. Pests chewing on insulation is a known fact. Soy connection is a myth.
  17. I had mine replaced by an independent garage. Wasn't bad.
  18. Just saw someone using Mondeo (Fusion) parts recently.
  19. No, it's just extremely popular to switch to disc brakes. See it in the facebook group all the time.
  20. Get some transparent "stained glass" vinyl such as https://www.orafol.com/en/americas/products/oracal-8300-transparent-cal# Pick the color matching best your tail light (cracked section) and cover the area fully so it won't stick out. You can even use this to darken the tail lights a bit for cooler look but won't have issues with visibility like you would with tinting. I recommend doing both sides for equal look.
