I haven't seen anything in the aftermarket that was specifically made for this vehicle. So if you're looking to replace the entire headlight unit, you may be out of luck. The only thing that I see are plug & play H!! lamps. Those are simple enough. Only problem, as stated prior, is that you are now placing a HID or LED H11 into a headlight unit with reflectors designed for halogen. With the LED, the first noticeable difference is that they are bright when you look at them. They will put out a very bright light. So if you want everyone to look your way because you have very bright lights, then you will be happy. The area immediately in front of your car will be lit very well. Only problem is that the halogen reflectors will not "throw" the light down the road the way you want them to. Satisfy your curiosity. Install a plug & play kit. Report back on how you liked it. Post some photos. Your results may be satisfactory for your application. You may like it. Although yellowish, halogen lamps work best in OEM applications, unless you are able to find a complete replacement projector headlight unit. I was satisfied with the LED drop in kit on my F-150. With the high beam and low beams on, there is no need for off road lighting. Granted, when I'm driving on highways at night, they are already lit, and in my area, overhead street lights are LED also. In an off road environment, I'm not going very fast, it''s completely dark due to lack of overhead street lighting, and I only need to see my immediate area, as opposed to 100 yards down the road.

I am afraid that carrying lumber happens to be the shortcoming of a little "city van". I almost think that the engineers designed it that way to prevent overloading. If they made the an able to accommodate a piece of plywood, which they easily could have, then it would almost be about the size of an Econoline. Sure, the vehicle will only be a few inches wider and longer. And I guess in Europe, where these were first sold, there just isn't the same desire to carry American building materials. Is plywood & sheetrock even the same 4' X 8' size in Europe or Asia? I don't know, because I've never bought building materials in Europe or Asia. How do all the Japanese go to their version of Home Depot in those little Tacoma trucks? The idea was to make the van smaller, for people who did not want such a large vehicle. And as we all know, if it could fit, people will fill it. Can you imagine that many pieces of stacked plywood or sheetrock and what it would weigh? I can see it now. Somebody will try to stack 40 pieces inside the van, and 10 more on the roof rack.

My, we have come a long way. I also have a dash mounted ScanGauge II. Did that about 10 years ago, when it seemed like only dealerships had access to real time information via proprietary software on laptops. Then I got my hands on a SCTFlash LiveWire. The only way those plugs and oval holes can make any sense at all, is if they were designed for some OEM oval shaped mounting system. And they're not. You can't even get an OEM rubber cap to use as a grommet to run wiring through. The only thing that those oval cutouts are good for.....well, at least they line up.

On my ex-girlfriend's (redacted Chrysler product), I had to drain and remove the washer fluid & radiator overflow reservoirs, in order to change the spark plugs. This same vehicle also had a spin on filter inside of the transmission case, which of course, required dropping the pan to get to the filter. The oil drain plug was located on the side of the engine oil pan, 1/2" up from the bottom.....as if you were going to tip the vehicle 90 degrees on it's side, to get the last quart of oil out. A dealership tech told me that he used a hand pump to fully drain the oil pan. Otherwise, there would always be a quart of old oil mixed with the new oil. You can see how that could lead to problems in the long run.

As I gaze upon the traffic and congestion of life in the big city, Transit Connect vans are on every street and on every block. Yet, I alone have auto glass indicative of passenger usage. There are actually a lot of options out there. The aftermarket has plenty of support for recreational and commercial use racks.

Did the dealer sell you the parts, and do the installation? Or did they sell you the parts, and you installed it yourself? There is an online video showing the installation of a ladder rack. The installer drilled out the oval hole to 1/2", then used a rivet nut which completely filled and covered the opening. What you could do is go to Tap Plastics and buy a piece of plastic sized to fit in the rain gutter and larger than the OEM plug, with a hole drilled in the center for whatever size hardware you are using. Use this as a spacer. Then apply silicone around the opening on your roof, place the Tap Plastics spacer over the hole, and install your rack with additional silicone between the Tap Plastics spacer and your rack. Or simply find a metal washer with a hole sized for your bolt, and big enough to cover the oval hole.

A used 2016? It's still 2016. How many miles are on it? What is the backstory? Repo? Rental? Lease return?

Apparently, the harness is different on the 2016. So Chuck needs the part number for the correct harness. Chuck wants to find the correct harness connectors for the 2016 model year, then splice them into his Curt 56218, so that he can then plug & play via the OEM harness. I would simply cut the Curt 56218 connectors off, and tap the wires right into the OEM wiring.

Windows stop working. Fuses blow. It's an imperfect world. Screws fall out all the time. Ideally, under optimum conditions, fuses do not blow when everything is operating correctly. Something happened, which caused a surge, which blew the fuse. Now, how do you go about finding the cause? Even though I understand the simplicity of 12V direct current X amperage = wattage, it still frustrates me when I can't figure it out. On one of my other vehicles, the OBD II port is tied into the same fuse as the cigarette lighter adapter. I couldn't figure out, no matter how hard I tried to, why that fuse blew. I'm just lucky that the fuse did blow, and my OBD II port did not get damaged.

I wouldn't give your dealer a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down". I want a new icon to click on, depicted with an image of "the finger". I know the owner of the local Unocal Station. I drive in, drink his free customer coffee, chat with him, and never buy his gas or allow his techs to work on my cars. The "air filter service" is an old trick that he learned 60 years ago, as a teenager working at someone else's service station. No white air filter will stay white once it's installed. By the time the customer rolls in for anything, even to have the tires inflated, you can always open the air intake box and pull out a dirty filter to show the customer. A $5 air filter could be re-sold by a service facility for $25 + free installation. It's a scam. The same way they put a little sticker in your windshield to have you bring your car back in 3,000 miles for the next oil change. Is there a local mechanic that you can trust? It sounds to me like you should not go back t that dealership.
