2014 Transit Connect Fog lights
Fifty150 replied to bx77's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
A clear day on The Barbary Coast. You can see the clouds behind Alcatraz, Saints Peter & Paul Cathedral, and Coit Tower. When the fog bank rolls in, it's a different conversation. -
2014 Transit Connect Fog lights
Fifty150 replied to bx77's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
This is what my OEM headlamp with OEM halogen H11 looks like. In a heavy fog condition, fog lights are suppose to be able to compensate and provide similar visibility on the road surface so that you can at least see the road and lane markers. -
Love it. You need a spoiler.

In all seriousness........ On the one hand, you could take that dealer's offer, and try to negotiate for a better price than $100 over invoice. Believe me. Invoice is simply an arbitrary number. You could negotiate your way into a fantastic deal on something in current inventory. However, you won't get what you want. To get what you want, you'll have to spend more, and have patience. Will you get instant gratification on a good deal today? Or will it be a better feeling to wait for what you want? I know. It's like turning down a sure thing, because you have your eye on another girl, already talking to another guy, at the other end of the bar. It's your money. Spend it on what makes you happy. But I've just got to ask. You are getting a glass roof, with a roof rack? What are you going to look up at? Ladders?

Being a vegetarian is a first world luxury. It shows that we have so much money, that we can willingly choose not to eat meat, in order to be stylish and trendy. 1/3 of the world's population is vegetarian, and with the exception of a few strict religious doctrines, most of them are not vegetarian by choice. They can't afford to eat meat. We can afford to not eat meat. Why don't you take a fatted calf to a refugee camp, and try to convince them why it's wrong to eat.

Maybe I should start a new topic entirely. But what kind of battery are you guys thinking about adding? Brand? Motorcraft? Interstate? It does not appear as if Optima makes a battery for under the hood, but you could use an Optima as a secondary. Will you stick to using the same OEM group size, or something different? Who is actually installing a battery box, as opposed to simply strapping a battery to the floor? Let's see some plans, drawings, and photos.

Don't we all have a collection of useful stuff, that we're not using? -
I agree about the wiring. I've seen guys using 1/0 for that application. 12 AWG is fine for hooking up a 15 amp outlet in your house, or installing a patio fixture. In the old days, I liked it for off-road lighting for halogen lamps at 100 watts. I also ran 12 gauge for installing electric fan sets. But I wouldn't go with less than 4 gauge for an auxiliary battery.

But if you tap into the license plate light wiring, those lights you install on the interior will be on whenever you drive at night. Think about tapping into the interior lamps instead. -

Sounds like all that you need will be a couple of small LEDs. I like the ones on the head of a hollow bolt. -

I hate things like this. They build in programming features that are kept secret. So much of a secret, in fact, that not even dealership techs know it all. I think the programming features are great, but that there should be a manual so that we can all have the ability to control what is happening with our own cars. I get it: of course they don't want you to know, because if you did, they couldn't charge you for what they know.

Oregon and New Jersey are the only two states with laws prohibiting self serve at gas stations. The New Jersey law – on the books since 1949 – cites safety procedures; health hazards from breathing in gas fumes; and “significant inconveniences and dangers, including the risks of crime and fall-related personal injury, which are a special burden to drivers with physical infirmities, such as the handicapped and some senior citizens.”

How to remove front grill on a 2015 TC XLT?
Fifty150 replied to FORDTC-15's topic in Exterior Parts & Panels
Drill a couple of holes above the windshield and mount it there.
