  1. That big nut would be a good place for the positive and there is a negative on the body near there to the right for the negative..Put a fuse in the positive side of that circuit for safety .
  2. If that 2011 TC is here it won't be the high pressure diesel pump, when you turn the key do you here the fuel pump run before you crank it?
  3. how long does it have to sit? A good battery tester will be of great help here. Before you crank the TC get an Idea of what the condition the battery is. The starter could be worn and that would make for an intermittent starting issue.
  4. There was a Recall on several years of TC's for this problem Yours could be a recall. If you get a shop Manual the process is pretty straight forward. If you do it with the door on although harder it leaves the door adjustment untouched . Please let us know what happened.
  5. How much did you add? There is a weep hole on the water pump and coolant could be lost there . Yes a scan tool would be needed to see what happened.
  6. The 2.0 has 162 Hp at 6500 Rpm and 144 lbft of torque at 4500 Rpm and If you have an XL you can Option in a 2.5 engine that has 169Hp at 6000 Rpm and 171 lbft of torque at 4500 Rpm. Mine has the 2.5 and if you want to keep up your speed on hills 4500 to 5000 rpms is not unusual. The 2.0 engine will want to rev at least that high.. This is a small engine and it does not get lively until you hit at least 3500 Rpm. If you hook a trailer to it it will be turning up a lot.
  7. If it is a Diesel then it is definitely an interference engine, as for Gas engines if it is a twin cam it also will be an interference engine. If the belt or pulley failed there is most certainly mechanical damage to find.
  8. That does not look like an oil line it has something to do with the inter-cooler, as we do not have diesels over here I cannot access the parts breakdown . What is the model of your TC and what engine .
  9. Windshields are good till the next rock or hailstorm, so resealed, Re-seated or replaced it could be a short lived achievement!
  10. Not yet, but the issue is about to be a non issue for me. There is a crack progressing from the roof panel seam on the right side down to the right bottom corner. As my inspection sticker is due and it won't pass. The adhesion issue will now be up to Safelight!
  11. Well if you lived here that would not be much of a reason. This is what 2.5 years and 28000 miles looks like around here!
  12. That is cool mine is not a camper, it is more like a toolbox!
  13. Nice If you are putting that few miles on then the fuel mileage would not even be a concern. Finding a safe place to park would be higher on the list.
  14. As impressive as it is I am not holding my breath. Ford does not really want to sell the TC . After 2023 the whole van will be a VW and my level of interest in it will be much reduced!
  15. If a real set of doors with OEM style windows are between 125 and 200 dollars and are a bolt fit with a Rattle Can paint finish then the whole project can be accomplished . The only real question is how many hours of mental angst can a few hundred dollars avoid. The OEM doors will provide the best outcome from a vision stand point!
  16. not hard lots of clips did they break the plastic?
  17. A A set of Spring compressors would shorten the assembly enough to slip the fitting in
  18. Great Job. As a person who has had campers for 40 years. Having your own toilet is at the top of all my Camper lists.
  19. Hey You don't have to leave, The Maverick has the all wheel drive we all want. Stay around and let us know how the Maverick turns out!
  20. Wet and Dry compression test will tell alot.
  21. Can you control the transmission solenoids with the Forscan? If so see if they all cycle. It could be the PCM but a weak solenoid could also cause the condition. Waiting to hear more in August.
  22. This web sight has lots of info.(open the Screen shot in a new image and tap to enlarge)
  23. Sounds like the two solenoids that control 3 and 4 work in tandem with a speed sensor to allow the TTC to lock up. I wonder if there is a kit that contains all the solenoids . That would allow you to drop the pan and replace all the parts at once . The forscan will help.
  24. There must be a solenoid in the Transmission that controls the TCC, I don't have your diagram but there is a solenoid! You need an upper end Scan tool or Fortrans to make progress.
