  1. The Mid size they have or had in the EU would have been more appealing.
  2. It could be both, as to being safe to drive, with out a picture of the broken bolt and sub-frame can't hazard a guess.
  3. Sounds like a AC Test set will have hoses long enough to reach the valves.
  4. Scan tool with live data is needed. The ABS fuse might stop the Brakes from coming on.
  5. Do you have access to the live data to see the EGR reading?
  6. https://youtu.be/cnyvRRLnWPU Follow this link it will take you to a 4 part U-Tube that will explain everything . Pay attention because the timing can slip and cause alot of damage if not done right. keep us posted.
  7. Have you changed the Run and Fuel pump relays, Those are things that could fail after they run for awhile. Does waiting 20 minutes allow It to run for another 10 Min?
  8. Replacing that flex is going to be a challenge, I have thought about it . It is one piece with the converter and located over a cross member
  9. Then it is nice to see some one winning at the moment!~
  10. If the engine is designed to have glow plugs then keeping them functional is not an option. Some diesels are designed to have them some are not.
  11. The fact that your TC was unusual would make some people not good candidates to own it. Here's a question did the conversion save money for you? How Many K on it and is the body holding up. This may be a good thing as the price to replace is artificially high. Mine is closing in on 145000 (241000) mi and is passing the test.
  12. Check the fluid level is always number one. While doing that check the fluid condition. A scan with Forscan or a good Scan tool is next. Keep us posted.
  13. First get the fluid level checked and run a scan. Then the diagnosis will begin.
  14. I think mechanically it is possible . The real chore is going to be the integration of engine into the computer network. If the state you are in does not check the computer it will be much easier.
  15. Good Job, Now that the plug is there you can change the fluid at a good interval and the small amount left behind won't matter.
  16. The 230 mile range without a swap-able battery would make the all electric a non starter for me. If they came up with one of these in a Connect size and Barn doors then it would be very interesting. Transit Custom plug-in hybrid combines a 2.5-liter gasoline-fueled engine running on the Atkinson cycle and a battery with an 11.8 kWh usable capacity.
  17. This set is 32..99 on Amazon and I have used them, Not much to put in if you have a tire machine. Autel make a universal sender that you can program that is duel frequency that has a very nice Metal stem, but More money at 29.99 Ea. Any way not much of a job. Don the sensors in My 2014 are still holding there own and they are on the third set of tires . Audi TPMS 2.xcf
  18. From the Self inflicted ass rider a lot of your posts are very questionable and subject to a Creditable information check irrespective if one owns a Transit Connect or not.
  19. And if needed it doubles as an emergency hockey puck!
  20. If the tire is not loosing air the only thing that will set off the TPMS sensor is a loss of communication by the wheel sensor. When you put the old wheels back on, if the light stays off the answer will be clear . For whatever reason the new sensors are not staying in touch with the TPMS Module. Can't wait for the answer!! As for the anti forscan crap more self-inflicted ass riding.
  21. It this is true then the sensors are correct and functioning. If you get a Tpms Light then the only way to easily check the sensor power is to put the old wheels on and see if you get a TPMS light.
  22. If the new wheels did the relearn then the frequency is the same. If switching the tires gets rid of the issue then the transmitter in the replacement wheels must be weaker . Then If two sets of wheels are desired a different set of sensors will be needed.
  23. This transmission module definitely takes a very active roll. It holds speed up and down hill in Cruise and it shifts to put the Transmission in the correct gear for the next acceleration. It also seems to know when the TC has extra load like pulling a trailer .
  24. GertsWerks is a 2011 and he says he is Southern Atlantic so his won't be a turbo diesel . So we have 2 gen 1's with starting issues. I am assuming the 2005 has resolved his issue after 8 years, but you never know!
