  1. Before you get too excited you should drive another TC to get and Idea of how these thing really ride. No one will ever mistake the ride in one of these for a Lincoln Town Car!
  2. Cool. A good scan tool will allow a test of the EGR valve operation and help to solidify the diagnosis. A good scan tool will do a power balance test and that will show if the engine is in good running condition. If you pinch the hose to the booster does it smooth out? If so the booster could be leaking .
  3. The cycle time is dependent on what is running in the TC at the time. If the heat or AC is on then the cycle time will be short. I think is uses the regular starter but the unit is heaver duty. Make sure the Battery is in good shape if you do a lot of city driving.
  4. If the roller has fallen of or broken then replacement will be necessary.
  5. You need a scan tool with live data and a test ride.
  6. I have an MP3 player hooked to mine and It works great, I also have a blue tooth adapter that turns a digital signal to analogue and that also works very well. After doing this the Audio in My TC is completely satisfactory.
  7. Looks like a lubrication issue. Needs to be cleaned up then something like Free All to get in a free it and then a spray grease.
  8. If I had to guess I would look at the clutch as that was just replaced. The first place I look at is the last thing that was touched, in this case the Clutch.
  9. The left front wheel bearing got noisy at 142600+ miles. The part is not expensive but because it is just a bearing and not a hub assembly the process is more involved. Not to hard with the right tools. Being a Vermont TC the rust on the steering knuckle added some time to the job. No getting around it where I live is hard on machinery !
  10. The Mid size they have or had in the EU would have been more appealing.
  11. It could be both, as to being safe to drive, with out a picture of the broken bolt and sub-frame can't hazard a guess.
  12. Sounds like a AC Test set will have hoses long enough to reach the valves.
  13. Scan tool with live data is needed. The ABS fuse might stop the Brakes from coming on.
  14. Do you have access to the live data to see the EGR reading?
  15. https://youtu.be/cnyvRRLnWPU Follow this link it will take you to a 4 part U-Tube that will explain everything . Pay attention because the timing can slip and cause alot of damage if not done right. keep us posted.
  16. Have you changed the Run and Fuel pump relays, Those are things that could fail after they run for awhile. Does waiting 20 minutes allow It to run for another 10 Min?
  17. Replacing that flex is going to be a challenge, I have thought about it . It is one piece with the converter and located over a cross member
  18. Then it is nice to see some one winning at the moment!~
  19. If the engine is designed to have glow plugs then keeping them functional is not an option. Some diesels are designed to have them some are not.
  20. The fact that your TC was unusual would make some people not good candidates to own it. Here's a question did the conversion save money for you? How Many K on it and is the body holding up. This may be a good thing as the price to replace is artificially high. Mine is closing in on 145000 (241000) mi and is passing the test.
  21. Check the fluid level is always number one. While doing that check the fluid condition. A scan with Forscan or a good Scan tool is next. Keep us posted.
  22. First get the fluid level checked and run a scan. Then the diagnosis will begin.
  23. I think mechanically it is possible . The real chore is going to be the integration of engine into the computer network. If the state you are in does not check the computer it will be much easier.
  24. Good Job, Now that the plug is there you can change the fluid at a good interval and the small amount left behind won't matter.
