  1. Awesome work. Your skills far surpass mine. Also I subscribed to your Youtube channel.
  2. Been checking this site out for a while but have never purchased from them. All of my led's so far have come from amazon or walmart. Gonna have to give these guys a try and finish switching all of my bulbs out.
  3. Not sure on the Fords. But I do have a Dodge Caravan that had a dash cluster and radio that stopped working as well as the radio. We said the same thing about the clock spring but had no other ideas left. Replaced it and all was well. Its a long shot at best.
  4. Ford does have the Ford Transit. You can get it in a 150, 250, 350, SWB, LWB and a low, medium, and high roof. But they are all way bigger than the transit connects. I think the 350 LWB High Roof version has a cargo capacity of like 10,100 lbs. But if you are like me, the 150 is 3 times bigger than what I need. I would love to see a 2018 Ford Transit Connect return in the body style of the 2012 tc but with major upgrades in the cabin and some nice tech. I would probably trade mine in for a new one if they did that.
  5. This may sound funny, but have you checked the clock spring ?
  6. To appeal more to the soccer moms and general public more than the business world. They noticed that with the 2010-2013 design they were selling mainly to the business world and not the soccer moms. So they changed it up and tried to jump into the soccer mom taxi game with a vehicle that has already made a name for itself as being a work van. Really it was not a smart move at all. Would have been smarter to keep the tall design and make a new body style for the soccer moms with its own name.
  7. The fact that they were unable to steal the market away from other mini van producers who have way better options for soccer moms. And with the Transit out in the market, companies have a better choice to choose from to fit their needs. I am starting to see a lot more Transits on the road here than TC's in the work van market. But I think Ford will take note and make changes where needed to keep up with the soccer mom demands.
  8. I meant to mention that as well. Brake lights all work, and the horn blows. The company said to send them the PCM back since it is under warranty. They may have forgotten to program it for cruise control. That goes out first thing tomorrow and should be back by Monday if all goes well.
  9. Ok. Had another issue come up with one of my 2012 TC's. Started getting a #4 coil DTC code, check engine light illuminated, and a very hard jerking when running. Replaced the #4 coil pack and problem continued. Just replaced the PCM and this solved my coil problems. BUt now my cruise control does not work at all. I have checked all the fuses, and not DTC codes are presented. I have a call in to the company that sold me the PCM as my Chilton manual lists the PCM as the next diagnostic step. We shall see what they say when they call back.

Welcome CarolC. I also have a 2012 TC with just over 222,000 miles on it, and a second 2012 TC with just over 230,000 miles on it. As Loafer has said, this is a pretty laid back site with some great info. But if you see something or someone step over the line please use the report feature of the site so we can deal with it as soon as possible.
  11. I just might have to look into trying to find one of these. Thank you for posting up the part number Pilgrim.
  12. This would be true. But a good tire shop can reprogram the TPMS sensors to a lower activation pressure to match the lower running pressure.
  13. I hope I am wrong and he returns to answer questions, but it has been 6 months already. I would like to know if he can do this for the first gen tc's as well.
  14. I think this was just a spam post. BananaVan posted this on Nov. 2, 2016 which was also the last time he logged into the site and he only has this one post.
  15. These are the Yokohama YK740 GTX in 225/55 R16. The replaced the Yokohama YK580's that I swapped the original Conti's out for. The 580's were awesome and I loved them. Got over 100k miles out them and never had a problem (mostly highway miles) The 740's look and feel nice on the van. But, and this is due to my neglect, the life of the tires for me was not good. But as I stated this is my fault as I have put off an alignment job and tire rotation for the last year. With these two problems removed, the tires should get close to the same 100k mile point as the 580's. The guy at Discount Tire about peed his pants when he calculated up the driven miles on the 580's since they put them on. I actually looked at the Avids but decided to go with these instead and move up to the 16" wheels. But I carry the max weight on a regular basis and cannot take the chance on a lower load rating tire, or I would have probably went with the Avids or maybe even one of the Coopers tires.
  16. I am running Yokohama's on my 2012, but I moved up to the 16" wheels. Like Beta Don said, there just aint a lot of "legal" tires out there for the 15" wheels on the Gen 1's. The XL load rating is pain for the 15". :( Will walk out and snap a picture of the ones I have and get the model and size as well.
  17. Being able to fix it yourself is a awesome feeling. I am just a DIY weekend warrior, but I love tinkering with stuff. But I have yet to figure out how the manufacture puts these cars together with all these nuts and bolts, yet I can take it apart and put it all back together with at least 4 or 5 extra bolts left over. lol
  18. As a former Firefighter myself I will second the Kiddie for the detectors. They do what they need to do and do it well. As far as the extinguisher goes, any of the ABC rated ones will do. And I am actually glad you posted this, as I have been putting off putting one in my van since 2012. Guess I better get on that.
  19. Now that is a nice clean looking ride. I love the graphics on this. Very clean and simple.
  20. Wow. I do all of my own repair work, but when it comes to swapping out the whole engine someone else is doing it. lol . But I am glad you snapped some pictures of the front end apart like that. I was wondering what these little vans looked like all tore apart on the front. You are the man tackling all of that on your own.
  21. The way they kept going in circles, I just knew when the van stopped a bunch of clowns were going to jump out. Not really sure what drugs they were on to make them think a 4 cylinder TC would make a great get away vehicle. But they did manage to show a lot of people the great ability these vans have to navigate tight spaces. Just wish I could have been there to laugh at them as they were being "politely" restrained on the ground.
  22. Hate to see you leave. I enjoy reading your posts and they are always very informative. But I also understand where you are coming from. It was a pleasure having you as our Mod on here. I suck at good byes, so I will just sat till next time may the Lord bless you and protect you in your journeys.
