  1. First I would start with the cheap and easy fix by checking to make sure you have enough brake fluid. Then I would hook up an code reader and see what the code is that is being tripped if the fluid is good. Also I assume you bled the brakes after the brake job.
  2. I cant take credit for the catch. It was our members that caught it and reported it. Our members make my job easy, cant ask for a better group.
  3. The two spam bots have been removed. Anytime you see these things popup in a thread or any where on the forum, please use the report feature and it will be dealt with.
  4. The only thing I can add to what PhotoAl and GBL have already said it this. If you are taking it to the same guy each time for the repairs, it may be time for a second opinion. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes on a problem can shed great light into the darkness. I have never paid any attention to the area around the converter on my 2012's to comment on the heat shield.
  5. Sometimes you can get away with this on some of the thingymajiggers and doodads.
  6. "69 Chevy. A real automobile right there. And welcome to the forum.
  7. Online they are cheaper. But a trip to the local parts house or local dealer sales counter will cost you your first born, an arm, a leg, and a ear.
  8. Mine is getting worse. Guess I am going to have to break down and put a new one in it.
  9. I love my Astro. Glad I purchased it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PUTC0M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. This is a new one for me. I have now bookmarked this site for future reference. I think I miss read your original post OLDSCHOOLFOOL.
  11. http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2014,transit+connect,1.6l+l4+turbocharged,3298552,wheel,lug+nut,7676 Here is a set of after market lug nuts. If you click on the blue info button it will bring up another page with specs for them. This may give you a starting point to work from.
  12. I do not know of any online places. But you might consider a junk yard. They usually sell off parts pretty cheap. Here in my area we have a company called Pull A Part where you go in to the yard and pull the parts you need from the vehicle if they have the right one.
  13. Sounds like we have the same luck. Hate electrical stuff, those are some mean gremlins.
  14. Got to try out the Nokian Nordman 7's last night. They are awesome and the TC plowed right through it all. These tires took care of my starting and stopping problems I was having with the all seasons. Money well spent, and kicking myself for not doing it years ago.
  15. This killed my recommendation. :( But if you change your mind on this, the Kenwood Excelon DNX693S that I installed last year has yet to disappoint me.
  16. Will check into that as well. Love my TC, but this thing sucks when it comes time to make repairs. Very little info on them here in the US.
  17. Hi Timbo. I have just started to have this same problem but with my main culprit being the driver side front door. I am like you and just can not see a switch for the sliding doors being the problem. From what I can tell by digging around on Google, the switch for the front two doors are located internally in the door lock actuator. RockAuto has this part for $224. Again this is just from what I am understanding and I may be wrong on this. But I can not see spending that kinda money just to find out. But this is for TC's with power door locks. From what I can tell the TC's with manual door locks have a standard door jamb switch on the front doors as well like the sliding doors have. Going to keep digging into this as I also get a little nervous about the not locking issue. Also, you are not the only one anymore.
  18. This is a nice post. It has the year of the vehicle, what the problem is, corrective steps taken so far, and even a video to demo the problem. Welcome to the community nick28. Hope you get this worked out. I would go with what everyone else has stated.
  19. With kids all things are possible. And it is always a good idea to have a service manual laying around.
  20. I do not know how to disable this. But from my experience with my 2012 TC the key fob works at a longer distance when facing the front of the TC and any angles to the sides or rear diminishes the range of the key fob. So just based off my experience I would suspect that the receiver for this feature would be in the front of the TC some where. Again this is just a guess on my part. Hopefully one of the member here can help narrow this down for you.
  21. Just picked up 4 Nokian Nordman 7 in 205/65 15. Never had any trouble with the all season tires till after 10 inches of snow back in January of this year put me in the ditch. Have to wait and see how these work out for me.
  22. I just purchased this beauty. This is what she looked like prior to being stripped of her decals by the county. Going to switch all the lights over to LED's. But I am watching this post for ideas for the TC. All of my work is done at night in it. Lighting is a must and yall got some great ideas.
