Farewell

Recommended Posts

Now that I'm no longer racing motorcycles I really had no need for my '16 XL TC. It was a great vehicle, never gave me any problems, and I'll definitely miss it but it's time for something sporty.  I was stunned that Carvana gave me damn near what I paid for it new 6 years ago. This forum has been terrific providing useful information and assorted kindred spirits. Thanks to everyone, good luck and stay safe.

For all those who've admitted they've sold their van or going to get rid of their van, should automatically leave the forum or be banned from the forum as your suggestions and advice isn't useful or creditable anymore because you're not part of the Transit Connect family anymore. Just another reason why new members need to avoid this list of members who no longer have the Transit Connect or harass other members of the forum just because we do things differently.

Now I am never leaving this forum. Just for this guy harassing other members.

From the Self inflicted ass rider a lot of your posts are very questionable and subject to a Creditable information check irrespective if one owns a Transit Connect or not.

Mrtn - sorry to hear your TC is out of your fleet. Please keep us posted on your replacement.

Yeah, you can't leave us. You're part of the dirty dozen, the rat pack, the ass-riders. We need your support and humor.

Someone has to represent Estonia, right?

UTTER NONSENSE

By my account, you're the only person on the forum that is "harrased", if you want to call it.

I call it debunking nonsense and disinformation.

I'll keep my eyes out for the van with the racing stripes.  Maybe the next owner will turn up on the forum.

What's your next car going to be?

Going to look at a low mile 350z tomorrow. Checked out a MINI S today and found it, uuuum, let's just say lacking.

So to ensure me supervising t0aster's nonsense in this forum I have bought back my Olde Transit Connect.

Baby's home.

That's great news MRTN. So glad to hear it!

What's that white stuff all over, from blowing snow?

Re Toaster, no worries there, for now. The mods apparently scrubbed his existence deleting all posts.

Until his next reincarnation, we can peacefully enjoy the forum without the drama and mayhem.

In solemn remembrance....

How did that work out?

You sold the van, and the guy wanted his money back?

No. I heard he had issues with the LPG device right away after purchase. I called to apologize and said he can return the van if he likes. So the next day he acceped my offer.

The fact that your TC was unusual would make some people not good candidates to own it.  Here's a question did the conversion save money for you?

How Many K on it and is the body holding up.

This may be a good thing as the price to replace is artificially high.

Mine is closing in on 145000 (241000) mi and is passing the test.

The body is fine, as much as it can be in the rust belt, 148Mm on it (92Kmiles).

The LPG device is saving money, yes. Break even point is past.

Gasoline costs €1.7/L ($6.89/USgal) after the recent drop due to the world market stabilizing (was €2.1 a few months ago), LPG costs 74 cents/L ($3/USgal). My buddy driving an E-tron said LPG is cheaper than electricity per distance over here. Then again, electricity price is abnormally high at the moment.
