Always four identical ones. The car will be completely unpredictable with different traction font/rear. Even the stability control would not have any idea what to do. Also illegal over here.

It just resets the day counter, I think.

I only buy batteries from specialty shops. I have one just across the street. They also test your battery for free and give good advice.

Automatic engine off and restart feature is erratic

There are model specific buttons for sale that replace the oem button and disable the function at startup but retain the possibility to re-engage. -
Haha, we get the full package overe here

Anyone else had a massive back door leak?

Mine also needs a harder slam to latch the bottom but normal, nothing excessive. -
I'm in Estonia (Northern Europe). The first snow was 3 weeks ago but as usual, it's just slush and it melts in a day or two. The permanent snow with accompanying freezing average temps comes in the second or third wave. I usually ignore the first one as I have All Seasons (Michelin CrossClimate+) and these are fine for it. I have all winter tires on doubled wheels so I'm not dependent on service shops, I can swap them in an hour in my garage if I care to clean it up or on my drive if the weather permits or in the warehouse at work. I have just compared our climate and it looks like we are just a few degrees apart. Obviously the winter arrives much earlier up North but as I live on the coast the sea keeps the temperatures milder until it freezes shut from January to February. Then we have a few weeks of -15..-30°C (5..-22°F).

Change Front 12v Power to Switched from Always On?

I have wireless phone charger/holder plugged in at all times. I need to do this switched hack. Thanks. -
Why struts and shocks? Mine are great at 100K miles and our roads are generally quite bad in Spring due to melting.

Our deadline is Dec 1 so either that or whenever it starts snowing. Sometimes October. Last year and now this one have been exceptionally warm but next week it will be snow. I have swapped to winter tires on two of my cars, TC and another still to go. The 1st gen Connect is very capable in snow even with FWD. It's perfectly balanced and has high ground clearance. All well known brand name tires are good enough for your needs. The differences manifest in extreme winter conditions that Maryland does not experience, I suppose.

Are you absolutely sure it's the door seal and not the roof plug that leaks and the water travels back? Took me a while to figure it out because the leak was completely off the actual plug location that was untight. -
Nobody behind the wheel.

I have not heard anything bad about the 1.6 Ecoboost turbo. The 1.0 is a bad one, yes but that wasn't available in North America. Mine's working overtime due to LPG but I have yet to hit 100K miles.

Belt replacement is coming up in a year anyway so go for it.

The LV fluid darkens very quickly.
-
Right. My post doesn't make any sense without the L0stNTransit's/t0astervan's comment that had been deleted.
-
You can only drain a part of the fluid by conventional means. Drain and fill 3x (with a short drive between the procedures) will get most of the fluid replaced, only a bit of old fluid remains.
-
Not really. I have a $13 ELM327 (Bluetooth, wasn't compatible with iPhone at the time, needed Wifi) and it works fine. Better check the FORScan fora if there are specific issues with any of these adapters.

The second generation pre-facelift Connects like yours have a 6-speed automatic called 6F35 which are shared with many Ford (and GM) products, you can also follow 6F55 tutorials, it's the same transmission but beefed up for larger/more powerful vehicles.

Is the red immobolizer led blinking rapidly during the failure?

2020 TC Engine misfire and stutter - transmission issue?
mrtn replied to FTCAdventure's topic in Powertrain Tech
6F35 transmission is designed to use Mercon LV/Dexron VI (or 100% compatible) fluid, nothing else. Both work fine as these are the OEM products for this transmission and are cheap. There is no need to go searching an alternative fluid unless it's a supply issue. -
It's absolutely essential to have the metal roof insulated in a camper.

2010 has a different trans. There are plenty of videos in youtube showing 6F35/6F55 drain and fill. It's very easy when you have the long neck fill tool to reach the fill hole.
