  2. Sound insulation with a tar mat is a cool weekend project. Makes a difference. Could also replace the speakers with some quality units while you're at it. That is, if you are into tinkering with your car.

  3. I have read about such plans before and it usually gets stuck behind the impossible bureaucracy you'll face. The diesel engines are not compliant with the US emission requirements, which I have never understood how a 10 mpg truck is and a 50+ mpg van is not. If you were to go this way then there's zero point of importing it from UK as they have RHD. Pretty much all other European countries have the TC in LHD.

  4. It feels narrower and the driver's seating position is really upwards, like sitting on a bar stool. Overall feeling like an Asian fish cart.

  5. The high roof has to come back. The sales of TC has dropped to almost zero here whereas the old one sold like crazy. I have a hunch that the roof has smth to do with it. What good is the floorspace for two fully laden pallets if you can't load it with a forklift.

  7. I have the 1st generation TC and I think it has even bigger windscreen so to help with the problem of low-hanging sun visors (being 6'4") I made a black sticker visor for it to the factory width so it passes the inspection. After that I've hardly ever used the visors again. It's a bit hard to see in this picture but you get the idea.

  8. Yes, this is a rebadged van that Chevy us tossing into the U.S. market to have something to offer. It is in fact a Nissan NV family member.

  9. This NV-van is a typical Asian fish delivery cart. Nothing to be compared to the TC. Everything about it is awkward, looks, seating, ergonomics, etc.

  10. Hi and welcome. Does this trouble you speak of have to do with your Transit Connect? Because if it has to do with your marriage, I sure can't help you there.

  11. HI Guys, Greetings from Scotland, I'm a newbie here. I recently bought 15" steel ring embellishers to brighten up the factory standard steel wheels that came with my Connect. Trouble is they don't fit. I stupidly thought that buying 15" steel rings would be a sensible fit on 15" steel wheels... There is a recess that these need to fit into? and I think I need to get 13" ones to make them fit. (I hacksawed 2/3 inches out of one of the 15" ones, and it looks like 13" is the right diameter). I have contacted the company I bought them from for advice but waiting to hear back so thought someone here might know which diameter is needed. I notice that the members 'azdamay' and 'hollowood' has successfully fitted these rings Any help greatly appreciated!! Cheers, C

  12. Mine were from Amazon.com but I saw the identical covers in Kmart a week or so later at a few dollars cheaper. There are all sorts of cheap plastic wheel covers on Amazon, just get the kind with the ADJUSTABLE wire retainer. The adjustment works great and you will not have the falling off problems like with the originals. Some of mine had to be adjusted tighter than others on the same car.

Got my 2012 Winter Blue TC Wagon in July after 4 months of waiting. Not that I minded the wait. I got what I wanted
