Dashmo
It’s a stereo type plug in the rear bottom of the Consol tray. Bluetooth is not allowed, trying to plug my phone directly to the auxiliary, but no dice.
Dashmo
It’s a 2014. I saw something online about a Sim card but I don’t see any Sim card and when I bring it up on the screen, it says auxiliary enabled, so I’m wondering if I have a faulty plug or if there is a fuse or if it’s a setting
Don Ridley
What type of signal is your phone sending to the plug? I think the AUX plug needs a simple analog signal like the output to headphones.
Fifty150
It's a 2014. 9 or 10 years old. That port is probably clogged and/or damaged. Who knows how many sodas and cups of coffee were spilled by the previous owner. Not to mention lint, dirt, dust, and whatever other particulate matter. One end of the cable plugs into the port. The other end of the cable plugs into the headphone jack of your phone. All that it does, when working, is play your phone's audio over the car's speakers. In 2014, it was really basic technology. JackGrimshaw
In my 2016,I have used it to play music stored on my tablet and directions from Google Maps
G B L
I have an MP3 player hooked to mine and It works great, I also have a blue tooth adapter that turns a digital signal to analogue and that also works very well. After doing this the Audio in My TC is completely satisfactory. Edited March 4, 2023 by G B L
Fifty150
For years, until I wanted Android Auto, I used a Bluetooth FM transmitter. It pairs with your phone's Bluetooth, then transmits an FM signal to your car's radio. It also allows you to load a microSD card full of MP3 files. The 1 that I bought worked flawlessly in the pickup and the van.
mrtn
I think I have never used the under-seat AUX socket in my connect.
Fifty150
It was great technology before Bluetooth. You could plug your boombox into the car.
mrtn
I still have my cassette-aux adapter. Nowhere to stick it tho. Unless I take my walkman for a drive and try the thing in reverse. Pun intended.
