mrtn
Only took about a week for Trevor to get the mirrors to me and I'm loving them, much better than the stock mirrors... Those are stock mirrors
CapnTroy
Those are stock mirrors Indeed...just not in these parts... :-)
mrtn
Joking aside, I know what you mean. Every time I sit in my Mazda after driving the van I feel claustrophobic looking in the rear view mirrors.

103west43rd
mrtn, once again, UK MIRRORS DO NOT WORK ON US TRANSIT CONNECTS!!!!!!!! We discussed this on this same string back in October 2012! The fixed lower mirror angle is wrong for US driving on the right side of the road. Why do you think when forum members order their mirrors from a UK Ford Dealer, he gets them from Germany instead of pulling them of his parts shelf? As per my posts, I bought UK mirrors and modified them, so my info is first hand. Edited April 27, 2014 by 103west43rd

cyclistbrad
Anyone here have either the right side or pair of mirrors for sale from before this conversion? I am looking for a dark blue right or a black pair.
jdob
I just purchased my new to me 2012 TC earlier this month and have been searching through the forum looking for info on these tall mirrors. The fordpartsuk shop is now closed. Does anybody have a source for these? I have been searching the various overseas ebays without much luck. I would need the power/heated LHD versions. I would prefer new OEM Ford, but may also consider used in excellent condition or maybe even new aftermarket if they are good quality. If anybody has any info please let me know! Thanks! mrtn
They’re everywhere. Just opened one of our local spare part suppliers page, they seem to have one in stock but it’s possible to order I guess. I can find some more later today: https://alvadi.ee/en/spare-parts/ford/transit-connect-tourneo-c170-2006/door-mirror/
Fifty150
If it were me, I would buy an extra set, to have spare parts. You never know when your mirror gets kicked off by an angry hipster on a Vespa.

Still hard to find overseas sellers of OEM Ford parts that offer shipping to the US and have clear photos and descriptions. Many that I have contacted have simply never replied to my inquiries. Thanks again for your reply!
Double Nickels
Sounds like a business opportunity. mrtn can acquire, then facilitate shipping. But what is it worth? Would you pay a reasonable mark up plus shipping? I recall how people in Japan did that with JDM parts. Those people thought it was worth it to get parts not available in the USA. jrm223
mrtn
Sure. These are not OEM tho. I'll have a look next week.
Don Ridley
The Focus RS guys are also looking for a vendor that will easily ship to the US. The previous Ford supplier they used stopped shipping to the US. Looks like Ford does not want us to get parts made for other markets.
