  1. Yeah, it's just becomes more of a hassle. I have to say, that as much as I like this van, EVERTHING that I've done has been much more work than it should have been. I keep running into roadblocks for every mod I've done.
  2. I've considered both options. I haven't looked at the interior fuse panel, but I'm told its the same nightmare as the engine fuse box. If I run directly from the battery it means I'm going to have to add a switch and remember to turn it on and off. I've already bought a switch so I'm planning on going that route. BTW, what year is your connect, and does it have the Fuse Box From Hell that the 19-20"s have?
  3. Thanks for the pic. So apparently this won't work for my project. It's connected directly to the battery feeding 12v continuously without the key being on. I need power only when the key is on. If I can't find a source for that I'll need to use a toggle switch to turn my driving lights on and off. They show in that manual removing the outside panel in front of the mirror but I still can't seem to fish a wire thru to the engine compartment.
  4. What location did you use in the engine bay to tap into 12V or did you just go directly to the battery?
  5. Mine are not a waste at all. I've got a small separate amp for the rears so I can adjust the volume balance between front and rear. Love it.
  6. I've got a 20 cargo van and originally added 6x9's in the rear doors. There were no speaker wires there so had to run my own. Biggest problem is that due to the shallow depth of the doors, I had to use 1 1/2" tall spacers to make them fit. After all that work, they sounded just OK. Ended up putting cabinets on both side walls and moving the speaker into the forward end of the cabinets. Sounds great!
  7. I just installed this same Maxxfan Deluxe last week. I didn't use the that overpriced adaptor. I cut 4 pcs of 1/8" ABS to build up the gutters and level the roof. Worked out great.
  8. Check out thread titled Ignition Switched Fuse for Dashcam? 2016 Connect Titanuim
  9. I actually found ignition on leads in the clamshell on the windshield. Tapped into this to power my always on rear monitor. Worked out well.
  10. I'm in the process of installing a couple of cameras. When I owned a T250 Transit, medium roof, with no windows I set up an always-on camera on the 3rd brake light and had a commanding view of the road behind me. Now that I have a 20 TC cargo I've decided to do the same thing. Already installed the first one on the license plate frame, and the next one is going on the 3rd brake light. It'll give a lot better view as the lower one is actually so low that the view is kind of limited. I mounted a 7" monitor on the windshield "clamshell". Worked out great as there is key switched power there. I'll post pics when completed.
  11. Maybe you'all need to lighten up a little. I think maybe OP was just kidding. I wish he would answer my question about that spoiler though.
  12. What year? Mine is a 2020 and I understand there are drastic differences. See the thread titled What happened to my 2019 TC fuse box? What happened to my 2019 TC fuse box?
  13. OK, but where to get power to that fuse box that's only powered with the key on????
  14. I've run into this same problem with my 2020 TC cargo. I wanted to tap into the fuse box to power a "keyed" fuse for the addition of some led running lights. That fuse box terrifies me. I'm going to see if I can tap into some wiring outside of that box. UGH!
  15. I bought them this morning. Made him an offer and got them for 94.00 for the pair shipped.
  16. Good to know. I figured they would, but It'd be my luck that they wouldn't. I think I'm gonna buy a pr on ebay.
  17. I'd like to get a pair, but all the listings I find only go to 2018. Anyone know if they're the same for a 2020?
  18. I just bought a 20 and was surprised (and disappointed) to find that I didn't have the sensors either.
  19. I've been in contact with MYC in the UK about their spring kit for a 2020 Connect. Out of stock until 2nd week of August. I'm toying with the idea of bagging this thing. It's just way too high.
  20. I'm planning on doing a vent, but mine is a cargo van. Seeing the roof rib is not an issue.
  21. Pretty sure you'd have to add a camera. That's what I did to my full size Transit. It came with the stupid rearview in the mirror. Problem is that it was so small it was dificult for me to see. I added a camera mounted on the 3rd brake light that was always on. I plan on going the same thing with my TC. Since I don't have back glass I like to be able to see whats going on behind me. I had hoped there was some hack available that would allow the OEM camera to remain on, but apparently there isn't, so I'll do my own. Thumbs.db
  22. Only 930 miles on them. Pickup only. 375.00 for all four! No TPM's. I'm in Vero Beach, FL
  23. That is exactly the ride height I'm looking for. Just installed 18's last week on my '20 Connect, and the rear is begging to be dropped!
  24. Thanks for this, but it's beyond my scope, LOL. I'm going to stick with my plan and have already scheduled an appointment at an installer's shop for this thursday. I'll post how things work out.
