  1. Sorry for the late reply. My TC is a 2016 and it came with the seats. You may find that adding seats will require some metal work and/or welding. Can you find a TC that you can rent to see the configuration?
  2. Yes, I have the SWB van. The brackets for the front of the seat assy appear to be welded on the higher section of the floor (not under your black plate). Ignore the wires in the photo. They are for aftermarket heated seats.
  3. Probably, but it wont be easy. You will need to reseach what is necessary to do this on a Focus then hope it works on a TC. You will need get and learn Forscan. You are looking at new modules (computers), programming etc. Start at the website for Cyan Labs. They sell kits but probaby wont be much help for cross-platform modifications.
  4. Sound deadening is a science and you can go down some deep rabbit holes on the internet trying to find a reasonable solution. You want two types of deadening material: the heavy butyl stick on panels like Kilmat, Dynamat etc and soft foam-like insulation. The Kilmat panels only need to cover about 30% to be effective. I loaded the door panels and the rear floor with them. The softer insulation works like you would expect...it blocks sound as opposed to the panels that keep the metal from creating sound. So, just put something in. It will work better than nothing. FYI, all vehicles are made with sound deadening panels on the body panels. They look like painted over patches of tar.
  5. The rear seats clip into brackets that are on the edge of the footwell on the front (covered by the black plate in your photo), and brackets in the back (that are shown in your photo). Here are photos of one of my rear seats flipped up into the vertical postion.
  6. The TC was built on a Focus platform. But I don't think the Focus was sold in the US with the 2.5L engine. I doubt you will find any 2016 vehicles at Pick n Pull or other self serve junkyards (I have never seen a Gen 2 TC at any Pick n Pull and the newest Ford truck or van I have seen was a 2013). These newer cars are usually purchased by standard junyards. Try contacting one of them to see how mych they charge for wiring harnesses. The good news is 99% of TCs have the same 2.5L engine.
  7. Pressing the switch on the tailgate sends a GND signal to the BCM to tell the BCM to open the tailgate. If your connectors are differnt from the 2016 wiring diagram you will have to do some testing to find the right wires. First, find the wire going to the BCM from the tailgate switch. Measure each wire with a voltmeter. Find the one that goes from 12V to 0V when the switch is pressed. Next, find a ground wire. Use the resistance setting on your voltmeter to measure 0 ohms between a metal ground point and the wire. If you are not sure of the proper ground wire then you can connect to any piece of metal on the tailgate for a ground. Connect one terminal on your new switch to the GND point (or wire) and the other terminal to the BCM wire you found in the fist step. When you press the new switch the BCM wire should go from 12V to 0V and the tailgate latch should activate (tailgate has to be closed to activate).
  8. You do not make changes to a Transit Connect using "as built" data. Look for menu selections under BdyCm (main). You will find global window options.
  9. Here was my solution. https://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/6031-turn-on-all-interior-lights-2016/
  10. As you already mentioned, your 2014 may be an early version that had different firmware. My only suggestion is to try different Forscan settings, even ones that dont seem to apply or make sense.
  11. Bad adapters have caused a lot of weird problems. Using a recommended adapter like the MX has been a solution many times. Fingers crossed...
  12. You may have a special situation, but your screenshots show you are not in engineering mode as required by Forscan. See attached.
  13. It is in front of the driver side wheel. Remove the bottom and front panels to see it clearly. See attached. pcm.pdf
  14. Here are the tire options in Forscan for my 2016
  15. Here is information from a 2016. The 2021 should be similar. A Ford Focus uses the same actuators. hvac.pdf
  16. Long enough for me to give up looking for Fifty's tranny fluid change instuctions. I had to rely on some random youtube video 😞
  17. Passenger and cargo van seats are interchangeable. Some passenger seats have electronic position controls that may require some research to install. I don't think the passenger seats are better....maybe just better upholstery. Many owners have installed riser blocks under the seats to improve seating postion. There are several posts on this.
  18. Here is the wiring diagram for the stock radio (ACM) in the basic configuraction (MECHLESS) and the higher trim levels. Hopefully you can track down the ACC wiring. acm basic wiring.pdf acm wiring.pdf
  19. Use Forscan but you will need to run Windows on your Apple (not sure how to do this but many have reported it works).
  20. I think the OP is asking about full size Transit vans, not the smaller Transit Connect. This forum is only about the TC vans.
  21. Forscan is not sophisticated enough (and probably not even Ford IDS) to determine what hardware is installed for the various optional features. For example, you can activate cruise control in Forscan without having the correct steering wheel. This has caused some problems for users who inquisitively change Forscan settings to see what will happen. But apparently you are safe to reset BMS without the additional hardware.
  22. BMS was not included on the 2.5l models. Only the 1.6l Ecoboost has this feature. I don't think you have a battery current sensor unless you have BMS.
  23. I currently have a Motorcraft I purchased online. The purchase was a disaster because the battery leaked in shipment. Had to add battery acid (local battery shop did this). Got $50 off the purchase. Next time I'm going to a dealership. Yes, the prices have increased but I'm done trying to squeeze more life out of my battery. I still connect a charger about once per month if I have not driven any long distances.
  24. Buy a battery locally and replace it when it fails. My 2016 TC eats batteries....replace every 3 years. I tried an Odyssey AGM and it lasted 3 years. Don't sweat the $130 every 3 or 4 years. That's about a couple tanks of gas.
  25. You have the dreaded PATS issue. I don't know how this is solved but you to research this. Forscan may be the key but you will need to find the settings that need to change.
