  1. A lot of American trucks sold in America as well. Nobody is doing "work" with a Harley, Roush, Shelby......et cetera. Just imagine trying to work in a "show truck".
  2. That is why my pickup is a regular cab, with a bench seat for 3, and an 8' long bed.
  3. I've got one of these bolted to a piece of plywood, in the back of my truck. Hasn't failed yet. One of the better finds with a Harbor Freight coupon. 4. On my company car, which goes on average of 50,000 miles a year, I get a new windshield about every 6 months. More miles driven, greater chances of getting hit by rocks I guess. My personal pickup still has the OEM windshield after owning it for 10 years. And in all the years of owning Jeeps, I've only had to replace 1 Jeep windshield. Strange how those things work.......or not work in your favor.
  5. Don, I'm sure that they would work. In most cases though, those types of lamps still blink faster than halogen. Then, there is also the front signal. I'm being lazy and waiting for someone to try out a few things and post results. 5150
  6. My windshield took a rock when the Transit Connect was only 3 weeks old. I have a $500 deductible. So, no claim. I just had to pay for the rock chip repair out of pocket. According to the tech, what the glass companies use is not the same as what you buy over the counter at the auto parts store. Oh well. $25 - $35 for a one time use kit at the store. $50 - $60 for a shop.
  7. Don, Nothing. I haven't replaced them yet. Still using OEM halogen turn signals. 5150

After reading recent posts, I checked my owner's manual, and it doesn't say "If equipped" under the "Engine block heater" title page 117, so I took another look, and sure enough, there it was. The reason I didn't find it previously, is because I was looking for a cord that looked like the one in my previous vehicle (Ford Focus wagon), which was a flat 3 conductor cord with a plug at the end, much like a regular household HD cord. The cord on the TC is wrapped with corrugated loom, and the plug is round. The whole thing was hiding under another loom to the right of the air filter. I would think that a block heater might be standard in colder regions in the US as well. I hope the pics will help some of you find theirs.
  9. And for whatever reason, my brother in law swears that the best aftermarket LED drop-ins are sold by JDMASTAR (amazon.com seller). To me, they are all made in the same factories in China, sold by different sellers under different brand names, and pricing, warranty, and customer support may vary.
  10. For the tail light under the reverse lamp, I used this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F2MUPZ0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this went into the brake light, because it comes with a 12 year warranty https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P2D3W0A/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  12. For what it's worth, these are the parking lights that I installed into the headlight housing. So far, they have worked fine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017OYN7RM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  13. I installed a camera onto my XL. It was not that difficult. It could be even easier with a cargo van. Why would you need warmer weather to install a camera? Just do it indoors.
  14. Install a second camera and monitor if you really need it. It all depends on what you're used to driving. I have a long wheel base. To me, it feels about as small as my Honda. However, I do drive a truck at work, and I also have a lifted pickup.
  15. That would be a great location to keep a secondary pistol, or if you need to discreetly carry it across a checkpoint. Without knowledge that a storage space even exist in such a location, it would probably escape a cursory search..
  16. I suspect the ride would be great, if Ford decided to engineer a Lincoln version.
  17. What will you ever do with your dry cleaning?
  18. How do you like driving your XL trim? Missing anything so far? As in, driving down the road, and thinking, "I should have gotten the (fill in the blank)?"

  20. I am tempted myself to remove the OEM system, and run a simple straight pipe with a glasspack. The problem is that with this little 2.5 Duratec, I doubt if I'll gain any performance and it will probably sound terrible. Kids in Hondas will be laughing at me.
