Driver side sliding door fail 2014 LWB
mustang replied to bikinchris's topic in Exterior Parts & Panels
in the below pic you can see the door latch (center on the pillar) I need the thing a ma jigs that are above and below it . Both sliders have a broken 1 and a stuck one in the pillars Doors still work and function fine . On another note , my rear window wipers now usually swipe the rear glass at least once when you first start the van . and they are not even turned on . WTF ! and sometimes in the summer when you turn on the AC it blows hot air forever , won't start blowing cold air until you shut the van off and then restart . Then it works fine . doesn't happen all the time, but Once in a while it does . Do these friggin things have Gremlins or what ? -

GOT A PART # ? mine did the same thing ................. a little dab of silicone sealant on that weatherstripe works great to keep in place been there done that , as they say -
bingo same thing with my 2014 cargo van , you can not turn on the rear light unless you open a door . I'm sure Some bean counter at Ford got a bonus because he saved a few pennies on production costs .

My 2014 cargo van ,the rear interior light only comes on when any door is opened .There is no other way to turn it on . WTF was Ford thinking ????????????

I love the capless system ..................
-
simple..you push the little OK button on the steering wheel and hold it until the display says reset . This is on a LWB 2014 XLT cargo van .

the tpms monitor in one of your tires needs to be retaught . they get confused some times

Ford Gets Back in the Minivan Game
mustang replied to Transit Connect Guide's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
dual symetrical 180 doors with glass and wipers . I have the XLT so all doors have auto lock as soon as you start driving or backing up . when you stop and open driver door only all doors unlock automatically . the doors have child proof switches too that can be set to prevent opening doors from inside . even though it is a cargo van . -

The fusion running gear and engine more than makes up for 7 inches of lost roof height for me. -
my van came with two xtra keys , all 4 are administrator keys until you program them to be "my keys" 1 key must always remain as "admin key" you cannot reprogram anything for a "my key" with out an "admin key" also . You can find info online to disable mykey on the vehicle yourself . still need an admin key to do it . or you can do what I did and never program a key the van doesn't have my key so to speak until you program one . and to the OP ........ maybe if you disable my key bt going thru the procedure I found online for a Fusion , your remote starter will work right . or not ?

My van hauls the toys without any drama ................. she prefers you keep the speed around 60 -65 mph though or it wants to downshift to fifth alot . But I've got a pretty big load on her and it handles the weight and braking with no drama at all .

Window VentVisor set for 2010-2013 TC
mustang replied to KeyWestLes's topic in 2002-2013 Ford Transit Connect
yep been there , even though they list them for 2014 connects also they will only fit the older transits . the ones from the ford accessory site for 2014 fit like a glove and are around 60 bucks . -
your dealer is full of it's in the owners manual.................................
-
It's not bad , shifts smooth . In S mode , we'll call it sport instead of std. there is a paddle shifter on the side of stick and you can row the gears like a std , within reason. The auto and computer still own you and won't let you do anything stupid . IE you can't pick a gear downshifting that will over rev the engine . same with up shift if you try to get into 6th too fast it won't let you ...................

comes out the same trip comp is dead on
-
That's on flat level ground in sixth ..........with Cruise on . as soon as it slow's on steeper hills it drops a gear and 3 k rpm or more is what you see instantly . My trip comp has instant update setting for fuel mpg as well as an avg . when you push hard on the GO pedal you see 8.9 mpg then it will climb back up . interesting thing is when you roll off the juice going down hill , instant display will be pegged at 99.9 mpg. We're at 8750 total miles now and just like clockwork 26mpg is the magic # on the avg display after 15 gallons of combined driving , every time .
-
2300 rpm at 72mph
-
Agreed , much better look than the OEM's. size ? look like 15's I'm going to go with a black 5 spoke with red stripe for my 2014 connect . just trying to decide on 16' or 17's these

It's an XLT in Frozen White it was on the dealer lot and had everything I wanted except the rear view camera . It's got the factory tow pkg also ( well worth the xtra $300) so rather than wait for one I jumped on it , couldn't be happier . It's got the 2.5 liter duratech which I think is better than the eco boost . mileage is supposed to be 24 city 29 hiway reality with my driving habits are pretty much 26 avg combined . I cannot get 29 Hiway but on back roads I can get 30mpg at 55 mph .

The Black "things " are a fishing rod holder from Bass Pro shop the partitition is where the finished front interior (headliner ) ends and the unfinished ceiling in the van rear body starts one photo coming up as soon as I go take it ................................
