  1. that sounds like a nice mod. can you take a pic of what you did (switch, lights, tap point)? For my Gen 2, I'd be interested in adding some type of switch in the back to provide loading/unloading light. I can see the wiring going to the power outlet in the back when you open the side panel door. thanks

  2. Hello Tom. I have the 2010 wiring and Workshop Manual from Ford. I cannot think of any other forum members that have manuals. The only thing I can think of that is different from 2010 to 2013 concerning wiring is the addition of fog lights. There is one item I would love to confirm is the Traction Control Switch that is shown in the 2013 owners manual. No forum members have confirmed it exists other than in the owners manual. I would like to see how they disable the traction control system.

  4. This obd hud: http://www.dx.com/nl/p/s05-4-lcd-hud-head-up-display-system-w-speedometer-obd-ii-cable-for-car-black-334344#.VHSkC2K9KSM I chose this unit for max information, screen color and a relative smal screen. In my opnion heaving this unit now, you don't wan't a bigger screen, it would be to much area on the windscreen. Plugged the unit in and it worked. No pictures yet. The unit is in place bud i have to finish it, such as non reflective material to close te gap between the unit and the cover. And some experimenting with reflective foil. There is no foil on the windscreen and the image is nice an bright bud under some conditions to much a double image because of the layers in the windscreen. This morning it was perfect, dimmed light and a almost invisible layer of moist on the inside of the windscreen.

  5. Ok postoak213, here is the next idea. The cruise control will send DTC's (trouble codes) if it is not working. You can display the codes on the LCD display on your dash. Here is the post where I explained how to retrieve information and display it on the LCD display, http://fordtransitconnectforum.com/topic/636-fuel-mileage-display/#entry4606 , position 9 holds the DTC's. P0579, P0581, P1572, and P1703 are the four DTC's for the cruise control. If any of those codes show up, Google them for a description of what is wrong. Good Luck!

  6. Hello postoak213. There are two fuses in the cruise control circuit. Fuse 142 (15 amp) in the fuse panel under the dash and fuse 26 (10 amp) in the fuse panel under the hood by the battery. If you have trouble finding them, let me know and I will write further directions.

  10. Starting with gAgE (tests sweep of all gauges) as number 1, there are 28 positions with the test mode starting over in position 28. here are definitions of some of the positions...... 4, 5 and 6 display ROM formats. 7 and 8 are hexadecimal coding of the manufacturing start date. 9 stores DTC's in hexadecimal format. If there are no DTC's, nonE is displayed. 10 through 13 are speedometer read outs 14 is the tach in hexadecimal format. 15 is the odometer in decimal format. 16 through 19 are fuel level outputs 20 is the engine temperature 22 is the battery voltage 23 is the DTE(distance to empty) 24 is the average fuel economy 28 Repeats gAge

I added a set of Hella Jumbo 220 driving lights upgraded to 100 watts. They work very well with the Hella MicroFF driving and fog lights.

I mounted my ScanGauge above the lighting switch. Upper left gauge is the instant miles per gallon, lower left is the average miles per gallon for the current tank of gas, upper right is battery voltage and lower right is the outside temperature.

  15. As Azdamay said, it is usually possible to display various information in the instrument cluster. Here is how it is done on my 2010 Transit Connect. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button (the one on the left of the LCD readout) and turn the ignition switch to the start position. Release the reset button when the LCD readout says tESt (takes about 5 seconds). The first display is gAgE (it tests all the gauges). Then press the reset button 23 times to get to the average fuel economy (display will read rAFEand your mileage).Mine reads 28 which is what I get when I figure it out myself. There are 26 different displays,a few are, trouble codes(press 8 times), engine temp (press 19 times), battery voltage (press 21 times). To exit the display mode, just turn off the ignition. I have not found a way to keep any of the displays working when the Transit Connect is running.
