@Double Nickels did you end up clearing your adaptive learning table? Can you let me know how that's done? I don't have a code reader but wondering if the scanners at auto parts stores are capable enough/if I could convince them to do it for me for free.

I just bought my TC with 56k miles on it and did a transmission flush today. Feeling like it might be a good idea to have it relearn the shifting to adjust to my driving style.

I'm trying to check the fluid on my 2017 in may end up cycling it out. I do not have the same level plug as in the pictures that I have seen so far in this thread. I'm guessing this bolt is the level bolt for mine. Can anyone confirm?

I removed the full plug, it was full but the fluid was dark. I can't say for sure but I might have even seen a little sparkly on the paper towel. I am debating if it's even a good idea to flush the trans now because you hear people talking about when you put new fluid in a transmission with old bad fluid that it can cause the trans to go out.

I was thinking of just going ahead and doing one drain and fill cycle, driving it, and then seeing what things look like.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have the same drain plug and it is 10mm allen socket, I believe. I did mine recently and it worked out great. I did two drainings of 3 quarts each and the 3rd draining I let it completely drain. This resulted in using about 1 extra quart of fluid, but made putting the drain plug back in with thread sealant less messy. I didn't take the drain plug to full specified torque because it just didn't feel good, so I got it to about 100 inch-pounds. Still tight and sealed well.

It's never a good idea, in any car, to simply leave old fluid in the transmission and wait for the transmission to reach the end of it's useable service life.

Lifetime transmission fluid for the lifetime of the transmission.  You can leave the fluid in the transmission until the transmission fails.  Don't worry about it.  Transmissions don't fail until after the warranty expires.

Change the fluid.  Amazon is selling Valvoline at a decent price.
