  1. I can't really say if the shavings were there prior to rotating the tires or not. The oil was changed a week before ago @ the Ford dealership and who knows what they did.
  2. When cleaning up my TC yesterday I notices "something" in the passenger side floor, on the mat. Upon closer inspection I found a neat little pile of metal shavings. They haven't been visible from the drivers seat so I don't know the rate of deposit of them. Guess I have steel termites........ :eek5:  (And yes, I know my floor mats don't match!)
  3. On the subject of fuel doors, I'd sure like to find a non-locking latch.......................
  4. My gas cap has began to get quite ornery too. Anyone found a "cure" ?
  5. I'm using the tool from my '08 E250. It has the same number as Woody's except with a B on the end. I rotated my tires last week and had to reset the sensors. I tried is as the E250 instructions said, 180 degrees from the valve stem and it didn't work. I tried it AT the stems and it reset with no problem. I took Mom to pick up her new TV last night and the TMPS light came on. Gotta see what's up with that. My luck I've picked up a nail! Rock cracked my windshield last week @ 8K miles, not happy!  BTW, the owners manual instructions worked for me.
  6. Welcome! You should be able to carry several ratchet / socket set in the new tool truck. Just kidding. So far I've carried everything in my TC that I carried in my E250 although it is pushing it's limits sometimes. Much more fun to drive! :D
  7. Thanks for the info. I have plenty of straps as I kept the ones from my E250. They do look like the standard e-track.
  8. I'll check that out but my second key stays at home and I'm hoping for the same convenience of the fob button I had on the E model. I'll probably contact Fords Customer Relations and see if they'll have a clue as to what I'm asking.
  9. Hey Hal, I'm needing some e-tracks to go in mine. Do you have a photo of them? Are they standard size E-track? Oh how I wanted a red TC. Yours is a beauty ......... well, as TC's go!
  10. Okay, one thing that is annoying me a lot is the fact that I can't leave the TC running, exit the vehicle and lock it with my extra fob. I'm in and out a lot on some routes, never out of sight of the van though, and I can't leave it running and lock it when I get out. I haven't exhausted all references for programming yet, I don't think. I took it to the dealership for it's 7K mile oil change and inquired about the programming possibility. You'd have thought I'd asked a tech question about the space shuttle.......uh  ........you can't do that  ......uh........ on any Ford  .........uh ...........no. I explained I had been able to do that :yup: on my E250's, my F150's ............ uh .........no you couldn't. I could see there was no point in furthering this conversation. So, have I overlooked a programming option? Someone have a Ford service tech friend with SOME knowledge of programming/options? Can anyone lock their doors with their TC running? Winter is coming and I'd like to be able to warm up my van without worrying about it being made off with. I don't want a remote start, just to lock the freakin' doors with it idling!
  11. I don't think that promotes international harmony unless it has another meaning in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, England ............ :gang: If there's not a floor mat or something else interfering with the movement of the pedal I think I'd be replacing it.
  12. Yeah, I don't think I'd personally remove the arm rest but that's me. What I don't figure is why they didn't put one on the passengers seat.
  13. It appears that the arm rest is held on only by a snap ring. I have a pdf of the seat back disassembly and if you PM me your email address I'll send it to you or tell me how to post a pdf here and I'll do that.
  14. Man, is it just me or are you folks having trouble seeing the vehicles directly behind you in your lane. I guess being the back doors are closer to the drivers seat in the TC than in my E250 it makes the division bars in the rear doors seem larger. Vehicles behind me completely disappear!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi

Greetings! Seems like you folks have some better options over there than we do here. Do you ship? Ha ha ha!
  16. Your Ford dealer can't help you??? Why?
  17. Thanks!! I'll have a look at it tomorrow.
  18. Now I'm going to have to go out and do a close inspection of my white van.

    Oil

Woody, might reconsider the Fram filters, not the same quality as in the good old days. FWIW, Wix & NAPA GOLD (made by Wix) are the best non-specialty filters available. Luberfiner is also another top quality filter and actually was making Motorcraft filters, or were when I retired from the fleet maintenance field 5 years ago. OEM brand filters tend to change manufacturers from time to time. Castrol is my oil of choice also. BUT, until my TC is out of warranty it goes to the Ford dealership for service every 5000 miles, goes in for it's first next week. That way if it goes FUBAR I can fight with Ford using their records. Yes, I still have my reservations!

    Air Intake

Here it IS, the miracle module. I just know we all will be rushing :speedie: to order it for our Transit Connects................. :hysterical2: "Up to 50 extra horsepower, 30% increase in fuel mileage and up 50 extra ft/lbs of torque" :banvictory: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280554835897&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123
