I don't like that either. We're just too stupid I guess to know when our tires are spinning

Here's a collage of my antenna mount project. I think it came out pretty well. Now I just have to figure out convenient mounting inside for the radios.

If you get it started back on crooked/cross-threaded it's a biotch to get off............

The 3M™ Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive Yellow, 5 oz Tube"Gorilla snot" is 08001. The 3M™ General Trim Adhesive, 08088 and the 3M™ Super Trim Adhesive is 08090 is in spray cans. The 3M is good stuff but Caterpillar has this green cement that is just plain awesome and it sticks immediately and drys about as fast. It's their : Cement – 5H-2471 236ml (8 fl oz) 185-4591 EAME • Bond, seal or patch • Bond cork, leather, rubber, metal – bond headliners and wall insulation in cabs • Contains flammable solvent That stuff is good for colds, moles and sore a.....

Models and their terminology differ between the US & UK. Is this the 2.0L which is the only choice we have here in the US?

Transit Connect Sport Spoiler Removal

Strongest concentrated citrus cleaner you can get your hands on. Removes adhesives wonderfully! i.e. Zep Big Orange -
Any of you guys/gals mounted a ham,cb or business radio in your TC? Space in these things is very limited and I'd like to see what others have come up with. Antenna mounting is also a problem without cutting a hole in the body. Again, since this is a leased vehicle I do not want to drill/cut/beat/bang things that cannot be returned to original condition or at least very inconspicuous condition. This antenna mounting is what I have about decided on. Right now my single radio is mounted on the shelf directly above my head and is a real PITA to see to make any adjustments/channel changes. I am thinking of moving it to the right side of the console as close to the dash as possible. I am on the road full time and the radios I had in my E250 mainly help me avoid backups on the highway due to accidents and construction. I have been running a CB and a scanner. A ham license in in my future if I ever get time but I'm more a listener than a talker. As you can see on my '08 E250 the antennas are front fender lip mounted but the TC isn't going to work out that way. Ideas?????

Window fogging
ncranchero replied to ncranchero's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
I have finally figured out that the fogging windows ARE my fault. No I'm NOT breathing too heavily but I think the fault lies in the HVAC being set to recirculate........duh! I deactivated the recirculate mode and have had no more fogged up windows. -
That IS nice! I just wanted to use the holes that were already there. There are many that can be adapted, even more if you want to make your own holes. This is a lease so I only do things that I can un-do.

I decided to build my own roof rack from available parts and if I say so myself it worked out pretty well. Photo is in my gallery also, kinda hard to read it here.

Yeah, we buyers have made Ford the top automaker here in USA but they won't give us a diesel TC or the new Ranger and they killed the Sport Trac. That's a fine THANK YOU ! ! My Grandfather worked for Henry Ford in the Charlotte Assembly Plant in the twenties ...... I hear him kicking in his casket ! !
-
Won't find much diesel help here since Ford won't give us one here in the USA.

That is a SUPER fab job !!!!!!!!!! :happy feet: I also went from a full-size, an E250, to the TC. It's like I had to throw all my stuff away, no room! I sometimes have a body in the passenger seat so I can't follow your lead in this solution. Now that I've said that, YOU HAVE WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS!

Yep, stripes look good. A wing .............. really?

Sure wish you could disable that Traction Control!!! Otherwise it's done well in this recent 6" snow.

A 12" raised roof on a Transit Connect :eek5: :hysterical2: Some of my friends already say it looks like a ball cap with wheels, some say it looks like and my daughters friends call it the handi-van! :tease:

My first thought was that it had stalled, then realizing what was happening I thought "this this will get me killed!" Cute little dash indicator flashed at me too.

With all of this snow/ice we just received in NC I got my first taste of "traction control" and it SUCKS. I mash the go pedal and nothing happens. I was just "trying it out" on ice/snow and it's just like I threw it in neutral. i just do not like having a vehicle that does what IT wants to instead of what I tell it to!
