  1. As any of you that read my posts knows, I've had my TC really loaded down recently several times bottoming out on the axle. While recommending a load assist/handling product to one of my Sport Trac friends I noticed that they were developing a kit for the Transit Connect. I just spoke with the owner of Roadmaster Active Suspension and the good news is they will have the TC kit available in a couple of months. I had a kit on an 05 E250 and was quite impressed with it. I'll be able to get more info on it as the release date approaches but this will be something that will interest many of us. Disclaimer: I have NO personal interest in this company and am only a satisfied customer.
  2. Only EVERY time I put any kind of load in it. My day starts well before daylight and I get the "flashers" regularly. RoadMaster Active Suspension shows to have a kit UNDER DEVELOPMENT. I had one of their kits on my '05 E250 and can highly recommend them. I will be getting one for the TC as soon as they are available. Edit: I just spoke with the owner of Roadmaster and he informed me that they will have the kit available in around 8 weeks!
  3. OMG,you bought the Euro brake light then drilled a hole in it? I'd love to have the Euro light and I seriously doubt anyone here would know it wasn't what was supposed to be! Throw up a photo if you get the chance. Thanks for the comment on mine!!
  4. Glad I'm not the only one who is getting cut off regularly! That never happened much in my E-250 Super Duty !!
  5. Don't you carry comprehensive insurance w/glass breakage on your TC?
  6. There are apparently certain "parameters" that can be reprogrammed ans some that cannot. I requested that all that light flashing when locked/unlocked be disabled and they couldn't do that either. :banghead:
  7. Thanks, rlschow. Yeah, I'm having mixed opinions about the DRL myself. I'll give it a bit before i decide if it stays or goes.
  8. HIPPIES !!!! :party2: :beerchug: :grouphug: :roses: :hide: Just kidding!
  9. Having them on only when in gear would be the ideal scenario. I can't say that they annoy me though. The only down side I've thought of will be the headlights burning when it's sitting in the driveway warming up in the winter months. Since I can't lock it with with the extra remote and leave it running the headlights would be a give away that it there for the taking. I may remove the relay in the winter months, IDK........ Does the little "parking" bulb burn when the headlights are on if you don't have DRL? I never noticed that but now I notice it does on mine. I could pull the relay back out of mine and see for myself but I thought I'd just ask first.
  10. Got mine too and I will say I like it. But, $23.00 is just ridiculous for that tiny relay !!
  11. Nice wrap you have installed on it! Quite eye catching. The TC's are great for use as intended.
  12. About 75% of my 32K miles have been highway miles, and I load it to the max sometimes, but no brake replacements for me yet. Five thousand miles sounds ridiculously low to me!
  13. :hysterical: I just messin' with you! Actually it "seems" that the TC will hit 60 in less time than those posted by C&D .
  14. Well, welcome NC newbies ! ! I'm based in Denver (of the East) NC which about half way between Charlotte and Hickory, on the west bank of Lake Norman. I travel every Tuesday to Rocky Mount NC so hhenderson212 I might catch you out that way some day. JohnnyKing, are you in Morganton or where?
  15. With all the FUBARS Toyota has had recently you had better stick with the Ford !
  16. I'm certainly not opposed to saving landfills/earth but K&N's aren't going to do it. Recommended air filter change interval is 30K miles and even with the mileage I drive that won't be twice a year! If you're doing it for performance .................... you have the wrong vehicle! IMO.
  17. Check the P/S fluid, top off if low, watch for a leak, take back for warranty. There was a post here about a hose (P/S I think it was) rubbing a body bolt but I doubt at 1000 miles that is the problem.
  18. You could always get a K&N and kick that Porsche's butt!
  19. Guess there's a lot of fools out there. Oil contaminated MAF's are common topics on all Ford forums. How much neck snapping performance did you get out of that K&N anyway? K&N's, CAI's that hang in the open in HOT engine compartments .......... :finger: IMO.
  20. Sitting in the doctors office this afternoon, glancing out the window at my Transit Connect, I come across this article in Car & Driver. 10 BEST / 10 WORST :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( YEAH, IT GOT WORST 1/4 MILE TOO! Car & Driver
  21. It's temporarily posted at this link. Download it and save it. Weatherstrip TSB
  22. Welcome! Yep, the stereos are a big disappointment. Plans are to upgrade my speakers but haven't gotten around to it yet. I get used to it until I get in my Sport Trac on weekends and then it's "man, that TC sound system sucks!"
