  1. Thanks for that but I would prefer a regular cap plus a lockable one.
  2. Im glad to help ,will have to see how much that would cost probably not cheap the van is too new so there is not too many other places selling parts for it.
  3. Yes it is a separate lens assembly just a reflector there is no bulbs inside . I guess they cared more about the esthetics of the wagon than the van and to save money. For the panels I wanted to use spray lacquer from home depot I using them all the time when I make flooring color samples for the customers but I ended up using lacquer from the can applying with a small roller because that Masonite is very absorbent And you need to use a lot, and of course let it dry before you apply an other one and sand it between with 180-240 paper. To make it nice and even I used the spray for the last coat. Than let it dry in the garage for couple days because lacquer has a very strong smell so it will stink up your brand new van but it is very durable and waterproof, I was thinking to use water base polyurethane but that won't be as durable or waterproof. Behind those panels you can find a cut out for some nice big around speakers I forgat to take pictures.
  4. I have the long version TC that panel behind the side glass looks fine does not look odd to me I liked to have that glass as well so more lights would come in but I need to get mine tinted the side windows, will make the van look better, what I noticed on the side door panels inside is covered with unfinished or untreated Masonite same in the back ,so when it rains and water gets on it and that unfinished wood gets dark and swollen up from the water ,whenever you open the doors rain dripping on it ,so it would get all dirty looking , i figured this out early so what I did was I took them off and coated them with lacquer like 5 coats two on the inside and 3 on the outside and also the edges so water won't penetrate to it it made it a little tinted nice finish look I will take pictures. This coating is also allows you to wipe them done with windex if they gets dusty,I think just because I use my van for work I don't see the reason not to keep it clean and damage free, On the rear 180 doors I like to replace this Masonite panels with plastic inserted storage like on the older model ,I'm sure we can order them from the dealer since the wagon version has this. The other day I was driving and I saw a wagon version right next to me at the red light I noticed above the rear lights they use a reflector instead of the black plastic filler on the cargo version I think that's a cheap move from ford,I will see how much that would coast to replace from the dealer it would help to make the van look more finished plus would help others to see you better.
  5. I have a copy of the invoice yes I think I paid the ad fee have to see how much that was what does a customer has to do with they advertisement, Rebates goes up and down used to be $750 I like to see the production as well I don't think there is a video even for the old model out there
  6. That's good news ,when I got my van there was a $1500 rebate and few days ago a other one ended for $2000 but I was OK with it since I got the van $300 under invoice its all goes by luck ,hopefully when you get your it will be $2500 its usually ends by end of the month so you can monitor and hope. They never provided a Vin number in advance like you have I just got a call the van is here.
  7. That's good does your van been getting great mpg from day one? Thanks
  8. I changed my oil today I used a ramp, that cover on the bottom is a pain to take it off every time you change the oil you need to go all the way close to the middle to get to those screws ,I used a Bosch filter i guess that cover is to protect the engine from rocks or whatever, my other cars don't have it and never had a problem what I usually do fill up the oil filter before I bolt it back on, the oil was looking clean the van has only 1000 miles and manual says it should have been done at 3000 if I'm right but I like to do it early. I think it toke close to 5.8-5.9 quart s
  9. Actually this is how I'm doing as well ,going to change the oil this coming weekend also using Mobil 1. Thanks
  10. I believe you mine is probably less I saw on ford site says 3400 lb and change. Feels very light did you brake it in hard or followed owners manual ?
  11. Thats great but I have the cargo van and its weight about 3400 lbs if you have a wagon it may weight more but still way under 4000. My mpg is sucks it should not be as much variation between same vehicle but will see if things gets better
  12. Thanks again that's good my van should do close to yours on mpg I'm reaching 1000 miles and I am not driving it rough so maybe its needs to brake in more as the manual says it may take 2000 miles before getting better mpg.
  13. I just find your reply thanks for posting.looks good
  14. +1. I only listen to tunein radio really like it no annoying talking only music. There is So many free stuff out there you pick what you like. Even T-Mobile won't charge you for data if you listen to certain online music stations very cool! Tune in is not one of them but I have unlimited data so I'm OK.
  15. Thanks!! Is that mostly city or mixed?
  16. Thanks how miles can you get on a full tank in your case?
  17. I think I should have get the remote start from ford when I ordered the vehicle its a nice thing to have in the winter.
  18. Thanks 400 is great I drive slow I should get 325-350 in city I think, now I have 880 miles on my van so I hoping gmpg will improve over time .
  19. Hi thanks for the post ,I don't have a trip computer when I can see MPG in my van all I got it miles to empty so when I'm done to 4 miles to empty according to the computer and go to the gas station to fill up ,all I can put in the van is 14.25 gallon of fuel if im understanding correctly what you suggesting is and I came to this conclusion as well is there is more fuel had to be left in the tank since it can hold 16.5 gallon, so the trip computer is giving me a wrong number ,I need to test this and carry a gallon of fuel with me and see what happens if I keep driving after the computer showes empty ""0 miles left to empty ". And see how many more miles I can drive it should have there 40 miles left to drive at least. This is the only way to find out , regarding the reset button if I press that that's only resets the trip computer, not the miles to empty.
  20. The gas tank can hold 16.5 gallon of gas but when I down to 4 miles to empty according to the computer and I am filling up With gas I only able to put in 14.25 gallon it happened to me two times , I know the manual mentions that there is a reverse in the tank so you can't fill up the entire amount but I was done to 4 miles to empty by than is should have used up the reserve. Anyone has any thoughts on this ? Thanks
  21. So if my math is correct you getting 450 miles to a fill up if you have a 27mpg ,am I correct you have a number on your screen shows miles to E empty so the time comes to fill up you drove 450 miles that amazingly good I don't even get 300miles on a fill up in city driving I think something is off here. Correct me if I'm wrong thanks
  22. It is the same engine as ford escape so if you look it up you find a lot of info I think manual is retarded not having this kind of info but wait they want you to go back to ford to get it done. It should take 5 quarts as I find it online, just go easy after the 4th quart one. I have to do mine soon I ordered some nice Bosch oil filter on amazon model number D3330 like. $6 good deal I been using Bosch for years very good .got the oil from Costco . How is your MPG?
