Automatic transmission for Europe, finally! Too bad it's only good for the petrol version, diesel is still manual only.

The reason you didn't get the liftgate in the US is that you have the delivery van Transit, not the same car as a passenger van - Tourneo, which exclusively had the liftgate.
-
The passenger vans have always had the liftgate option.

Mine's at 200 000 km with no problems, so it must be an isolated case.

How many doors there are? There should be at least two? -

There's a yellow escape knob back there, inside. -
That's weird. Mine are perfectly good, even for my way off standard frame I find most seats uncomfortable for.

Here's a free paper dispenser for the TC. I grab a fistful of paper from the gas station pump every time I fill up, and put it on the shelf, pulling it through the hole when needed. It's good to have something covering the paper ball (like a brochure or smth) so it would not fly out of the window when you drive with the window open.

I strongly recommend insulating your doors with dynamat or similar while you're at it. Makes a big difference.

You will eventually have to go for an aux amplifier like I did. Got a 2x35W amp with speaker level IN, you can hook it up directly to the powered output pins. You'll need a harness or if you're into soldering and mutilating the connectors you can just make one yourself. I did. The door sheet metal is huge, you'll need to insulate them with a couple of layers of sound deadening mat per door (some kind of sticky bitumen based material). Will sound much better.

Did you bother to click on the links, Capt. Sarcasm?

The EU parts should fit the US model bolt-on, since it's essentially the same van, with the exception of lights and mirrors, radio, engine and transmission. The best parts you might want to get are the EU tail lights & brake light (for some bureaucratic reason you got the old model tail lights and a roof mounted brake light) and big dual-section mirrors.

Hi, Dave. Any European TC would be ok, most are LHD anyway. It'll be expensive tho, as it would be one-off with all the respective taxes and paperwork. The diesel options are 75, 90 and 110 hp, all with particle filters. No automatic option here, just 5M. I have the 75 hp one and it's really slow. Still, as strange as it sounds, I tend to pick my Transit instead of Mazda 6 whenever I need to go somewhere alone (it's a 2-seater). Fun to drive.

No, the hoses are failing. The oil is coming through the cracks in the hoses. Have them replaced. There's a lot of pressure in them, so fix them well. The originals are rather expensive, I've heard of some silicone hoses off ebay, much cheaper. I went for the OEMs. I guss you only have to replace them once during the lifetime of the engine. Mine failed at 185Mm.
