Bigfoot
Well it took a while but pretty much finished. Has Fridge, shore power, sink, water tank and pump, 12 speed fan, sliding screen windows, house battery , custom pull out bed. ( Bed pulls out to 5’ 7” I’m 5”5) You can can access the fridge and battery from the passenger sliding door. Taken in it out and it is awesome !! So happy. Deryk the Gypsy
Really Nice! I hope Ford will add the awd to the transit connects in the near future...a little more clearance and they can have beastly mini campers!
Double Nickels
Transit Connect, Focus, and Escape have similar platform. It would be like building a Transit Connect body onto the Escape. Or swapping Escape drivetrain parts into a Transit Connect. Anyone up for a challenge?
Don Ridley
I have embarked on several TC projects using that logic. I found that when it comes to programming (that controls everything in these vehicles) that "almost the same" is equal to "completely different". But I do read the Escape and Focus forums for ideas and tips that have been useful.
