kyle4679
What is the best way to get a side window for sliding door? I have a 2004 model. I can't seem to find anywhere. Thanks in advance.

sKiZo
Surprisingly good visibility too, considering their size. Certainly better than a solid metal panel. PS ... was thinking about adding a couple old school portholes in the back side panels as well, but that'd be just crazy ... AhhhAHHAHHAHHAHHAhhahhaaaaa!!! G B L
Another alternative is to find a gen 1 wagon that is out of service and get the side door, it will have the glass.
sKiZo
You'd need the entire glue in panel as well, right?

Crazy maybe, but if that's what blows your skirt up......... One problem you might have with such an idea is the door running into the window. I seem to recall that the old "bubble" windows sat proud from the van.
G B L
If I found a door from a wagon in good shape I would swap the whole door. If I had time on my hands I would work to finding a way to power up the window in the replacement door.
kyle4679
I have found a couple of connect tourneos that are being broken. is the door from a tourneo any different than a standard connect? Also what about long wheelbase and high tops. is it still the same size door for these too? Thanks in advance.

kyle4679
I'll try again. Will a door from a transit connect toureno fit a standard connect. Both are high tops?
G B L
The toureno connect is the combi version and the door should fit. I am not sure that the commercial harness will have the window wiring, but is could . Take a measure of the height and width and check the other door I bet they are the save. Keep us posted ! Clementine
Check out horse trailer windows. I have not installed one yet but I've heard they fit. I'm looking at these two Horizontal vented https://amazon.com/dp/B01347A67C/?coliid=I2RJQG0FO34JVJ&colid=1TU5BEJ8FL6I3&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Vertical vented https://amazon.com/dp/B013479YAC/?coliid=I5J93TJK46ZHC&colid=1TU5BEJ8FL6I3&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

filsmyth
In case that link doesn't work for you, here's a screenshot. Not sure how easy it is to swap out panels installed at the factory, but for the electric version it should be a relatively simple job for any automotive glass shop to perform. Fifty150
Almost makes you want to buy the van with windows. So that you get what you want. Instead of buying what you don't want, then having to modify it. I would like to see a Gen1 chopped, topless like a Jeep, and sporting a custom roll cage. It would be like a big Suzuki Samurai.
