best way to get a side window for sliding door?

Surprisingly good visibility too, considering their size. Certainly better than a solid metal panel.

PS ... was thinking about adding a couple old school portholes in the back side panels as well, but that'd be just crazy ...

Crazy maybe, but if that's what blows your skirt up.........

One problem you might have with such an idea is the door running into the window. I seem to recall that the old "bubble" windows sat proud from the van.

I have found a couple of connect tourneos that are being broken. is the door from a tourneo any different than a standard connect? Also what about long wheelbase and high tops. is it still the same size door for these too? Thanks in advance.

The toureno connect is the combi version and the door should fit.  I am not sure that the commercial harness will have the window wiring, but is could .

Take a measure of the height and width and check the other door I bet they are the save.

Keep us posted !

Thank you for the links but I really want the bigger windows that come with the van initially

Almost makes you want to buy the van with windows.  So that you get what you want.  Instead of buying what you don't want, then having to modify it.

I would like to see a Gen1 chopped, topless like a Jeep, and sporting a custom roll cage.  It would be like a big Suzuki Samurai.
