rjisq
You We have 10 2016 transit connects in our fleet. 3 of these vehicles have approximately 70,000 miles and all 3 are making a clicking noise coming from the front end, similar to what bad cv joints make. Is this a common issue with these vehicles?
PhotoAl
Haven’t seen it discussed on this board as a problem. Are the boots torn? A torn boot will cause a CV joint to fail.
sKiZo
Could be cv's, brakes, bearings, etc ... Maybe some more info. This noise happen rolling straight, at certain speeds, during breaking, when turning?
rjisq
Thank you for the reply. Happens when vehicles make turns at lower speeds as well as when backing up straight. Boots are not torn. Edited September 7, 2018 by rjisq
G B L
How far from straight do you have to turn to get the noise? Have you had some one walk beside the car when you go forward and turn at slow speed? The fact that it is a clicking noise says cv joint. What kind of service are the Tc's in? mdarren
Wheel bearing is a common issue. Try to inspect it.
