I like the idea of everything in white but then again all the black lower trim is a personal pet peeve of mine. But....it isn't my van so you do it the way YOU want it and I'm certain it will be spectacular!
-
Will you keep it white or do you have something else in mind?
-
There "should be" a sticker inside the drivers side door well that tells you the exact size and load range of tires that the van came with. The BRAND of the tires matters only in personal preference or opinion.

And there is also such a thing as a Lemon Law. Under the law of most states, for a vehicle to be considered a lemon, the car must 1) have a "substantial defect," covered by warranty, that occurs within a certain time after purchase, and 2) continue to have the defect after a "reasonable number" of repair attempts.

I don't find the menu to be exactly intuitive and have to commit to memory of the sequence only. Mostly I just stay out of there. Couple weeks ago I actually got hung up and it would not let me back out. Had to stop the truck, switch off the ignition to get it back to the default screen. PITA.

This is the biggest issue I have had with my "backup assist system".

We haven't had any snow here yet. I put the ugly, skinny snow tires on my 2013 Focus 7" rims for winter wheels and they don't look TOO bad. Not too good, but not too bad. I'll have to re-familiarize myself with turning off the traction control too.

Disable auto door locking?

@jrm223 Any chance you could post the sequence you used to disable the seatbelt chime? -
You're right about that, I really liked that truck. It eventually developed an electrical gremlin involving the fuel pump relay that I could never fully resolve.

Disable auto door locking?

It may be important as to what direction you are spinning. /s I feel your pain. -
I'm sure I wasn't worth crap in '86. The Bronco II was an Eddie Bauer edition and had very nice seats
-
I like it! Keep the pics coming!

I had an '86 Bronco II with inflatable lumbar support and I have to say it was really nice, still miss it now! Think it made a sort of a whirring sound. Pretty sure the farting sounds were me.?

I really couldn't imagine they ever will either since the goal is always to sell you more, not less. There would never be a market for it. Not too many people have the mindset that less is more. Besides that's where all the so-called "upgrades" go nowadays.

It matters. I could be looking to trade up to the Metris, but probably not really since I'd be sure all the issues I might have with the TC is also present there, or mostly anyway. Just in general the Metris is kind of interesting though. I have never carried any loyalty to ANY car brand. Profit margin is what would drive Ford to offer ANYTHING. Little to nothing to do with ease.

From another post of yours about a month ago you show a new "bezel" that looks like it would be rather easily modified. Not sure if "bezel" is the proper terminology here. I tried to repost the pic but my computer wasn't cooperating with an old man. This thread did inspire me to locate another inexpensive MP3 player and order it. Finally found one that gives me what I want. Simplicity. We'll see if it holds up, but I have my doubts. Miss having some music in the truck and the head-banging, full volume stuff I like to listen to just doesn't come on the radio. Sirius was such a PITA with their billing I dropped them about 5 years ago.

"and would much rather have some cubby storage instead." Quite possibly a better use of the space.
-
Wish my 2016 did. Radio these days absolutely sucks. Who the hell listens to AM radio anyway? I was trying to imagine what sort of person that was. I ran an MP3 player through the aux connection but it kept breaking.

Yes, I get what you did. I was a little confused at first, thinking you were placing them between the wheel and hub, which did not make too much sense to me. With the rim of the cap flared out.....have they all stayed in place?

Until you mentioned it here I wasn't even aware there was a separate button to unlock the back doors. I guess I had seen it but didn't pay any attention to it since in general I can't think of why I might want to unlock the cargo area but have the passenger compartment still locked. Maybe the other way around, but I'm just in the habit of double clicking the fob every time I unlock anything even if I don't actually need into the cargo area. Finger just does it automatically. I'm going to be pissed off one day when the electronic lock doesn't work since the is no mechanical key back there. That might be the day before I sell it.

It will be like a treasure hunt to find the action that trips the circuit. Then to mimic it.
-
I was able to disable (most) of the auto-lock features on my '16 myself. Yours I believe is a '12?, but you should be able to do it yourself. I had to do the dreaded RTFM command before I got started.

On the old switches I believe you would be correct. However, I don't believe the new ones are set up that way....purposely so I'm sure. The shade tree mechanic has been under attack for decades.
-
You could "fake out" the doors by disabling the door switches. If the computer thinks the doors are closed the lights won't come on. Probably a lot of trouble. I'm not necessarily recommending it either since you kinda want to know if all of your doors are closed correctly. All that said, I do plan to investigate this at some point since there is no way in hell my truck is going back to the dealer. Especially not for Ford's stupidity.

ALL exterior lights? On mine only the running lamps come on, not the headlights. For grins and giggles I did the F150 sequence in your screenshot and it actually honked the horn at the appropriate times but of course the lights still come on. To be honest I'm not sure if the headlights were coming on before I did the sequence or not. I did notice that turning OFF the headlight from automatic mode stops the dinging when you open the door. Which is annoying because I like to run my lights on all the time and have them shut off automatically when the truck shuts off. I don't like that you cannot manually turn on the headlights without turning on the ignition. This lights on crap is one of the stupidest setups I have EVER seen from a car manufacturer!
