GBL did a write up which you may find helpful. Very comprehensive. There are several threads on this forum about the 6F35, Mercon LV, etc. G B L T.C. White smoke could be water. Black smoke is usually oil.

The kits are all the same. They mount the screen at the same angle as the factory radio. And it is a bad angle. The only thing that I can think of is to make a visor to shield the screen. I haven't done it. I don't want to have an 8" homemade visor sticking out of the dashboard.

TC 2018 -> Basic radio replacement

On US models, we can buy interface kits. I suspect the EU models have similar kits. Axxess ASWC-1 Pros: Plugs into many Metra stereo installation harnesses for easier installation Easiest to program — the auto-programming feature recognizes the car automatically in many cases (see below), and programs the buttons automatically Reads both digital and analog signals (see the explanation below) Cons: Difficult to remap buttons — It's not as easy to redefine what the steering wheel buttons do iDatalink Maestro ADS-MSW Pros: Programmed online — set it up before you get out to the car and define the buttons the way you want Supports multi-function buttons — press once to do one thing, hold it down to do something else Watch the video demo on iDatalink's website — under the "Video FAQ" tab, look for "How to Flash a Maestro SW" Cons: Does not read digital signals — analog only (see below) PAC SWI-RC Pros: Least expensive option Works in many older vehicles Cons: Programming is more complicated — you have to program each button in a specific order Requires an additional adapter to read digital signals (see below) PAC SWI-CP5 Pros: Reads both digital and analog signals (see below) Supports multi-function buttons — press once to do one thing, hold it down to do something else Multiple programming modes — manual or via computer Confirms manual programming with audio beeps as well as flashing LEDs (the other adapters only use LEDs) Cons: Most expensive option -
In the old Fords, for decades, the HVAC system had a series of actuators which helped to regulate the hot & cold air mix, and the which direction to blow the air (floor, dash, defrost). Those failed. They were difficult to replace. Sometimes requiring removal of the dashboard. Get a factory service manual for whatever model year you have. Sometimes, information like this is not in an over-the-counter Haynes or Chiltons book.

TC XLT 2016 rear caliper and brake questions?
Fifty150 replied to Willygee's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
You plan on doing everything with a pair of ViseGrips? -
Be creative. Take the wheels off the motorcycle.

Before you remove the seat, disconnect the wire harness. See what happens. Then plug it back in. See what happens.

None of the small vans, as best as I can recall, can actually fit a sheet of plywood between the wheel wells, laying flat on the floor. Usually not enough room between the wheel wells, and the distance from the rear door to the seats is just shy by inches. It seems like transporting 4'X8' building material is still something that you need a larger truck or van for.

In case the children are listening to our conversation, and they don't know what we're talking about..... You can still buy one.........

I think Ford Sync is good enough for a lot of people. If you upgrade anything, changing the speakers should be enough.
-
Get a small folding pad. They are good enough for camping, and you won't have to do anything to the van.

It was great technology before Bluetooth. You could plug your boombox into the car.
-
For years, until I wanted Android Auto, I used a Bluetooth FM transmitter. It pairs with your phone's Bluetooth, then transmits an FM signal to your car's radio. It also allows you to load a microSD card full of MP3 files. The 1 that I bought worked flawlessly in the pickup and the van.

It's a 2014. 9 or 10 years old. That port is probably clogged and/or damaged. Who knows how many sodas and cups of coffee were spilled by the previous owner. Not to mention lint, dirt, dust, and whatever other particulate matter. One end of the cable plugs into the port. The other end of the cable plugs into the headphone jack of your phone. All that it does, when working, is play your phone's audio over the car's speakers. In 2014, it was really basic technology.

I'm wrong. I thought that the 2nd row was the same.
-
From my memory, no seats click into the floor. They are all bolted in. 2nd row seats should be the same for long wheel base and short wheel base, and all models from 2014 onwards. The cargo van should have a floor plate where the foot well is. Removing that is covered in many threads on this forum. You also need to consider that there are no airbags and seat belts. Although a selt belt should come with the middle seat. The seat should have baby car seat anchor points. Ebay usually has seats for sale
