  1. I've owned two Crown Victoria's and both got around 25 mpg on the road. My TC only gets 29 with an underpowered I-4 and it weighs much less. Why can't they make an engine for it that is bigger and gets better mileage?
  2. I have a 2013 XLT cargo and only the side doors unlock when one door is opened. The rear door only opens with the key either inserted or using the deck lid button.
  3. When I was test driving a 2013 TC I reached up to turn the interior lights off and the switch broke off in my hand. So far nothing has gone wrong with mine but it doesn't even have 3,000 miles on it. I'm very easy on vehicles and expect it to stand up to my tender use.
  4. I'm thinking of wiring it for 110v so I can plug into it at state parks. This would give me unlimited power for an electric blanket. I've used a 12v while driving long haul and was not very satisfied with them. And that was running the truck all night to keep the battery charged and so I wouldn't have starting problems in the morning.
  5. I have a 2013 TC cargo van and adding additional front floor matts, a bed in the back and side panels cut the noise in half. Sometimes I get bad tire/road noise but that is only when the road is really bad. I've owned two Crown Victoria's and both were very quiet but can't do what my TC does.
  6. I was just looking at one of those. I may wire mine for 110v and run a regular electric blanket.
  7. I put a wall rack on one side to hang backpacks. I think it would look better if it was black but the right size only came in white. All the clothes are now on the drivers side. I also added a cup holder in front of the wheel well.
  8. Cars from the East Coast are shipped via rail out here to the west but the cars coming from Japan get trucked the short distance. Is it the short distance the reason you are concerned?
  9. Right now the jack is on the floor in my garage. I have to get a tool box just the right size and put it in it and place it behind the front seats on the floor.
  10. I received the panels and installed them today. The instructions were easy to understand. Here they are installed and shows how the back is setup. I keep the Army blanket at the foot of the bed so I can lay down without taking my shoes off.
  11. Ditto. The high ceiling was a big plus for me. And I don't care for the dash on the 2014 model.
  12. A roof rack wouldn't hold as much plus it would be more difficult to get to.
  13. I'm thinking of getting this trailer. Its half the weight of my teardrop and all I really need is the extra luggage space and not a bed.
  14. Thanks for the link Willie, that was good reading.
  15. That is odd they would set it up that way. My sister's Toyota give you 30 seconds to open the door and put the key in it.
  16. Thanks, I'm going to try it.
  17. I bought a 2013 was had the choice of $3,500 cash back or 0% interest but not both. But deals change all the time. Hope you get both.
  18. Most often you can get cash back instead that far exceeds the savings of 0% for three years. So which deal is better -paying $21,500 cash or paying $25,000 with 0% interest over three years?
  19. I have always paid cash for a car. It just doesn't make much sense to me to finance something that only goes down in value.
