Good for you! I have 2100 miles on the van and I'm getting 15 in city a lot of stop and go I'm not happy! and I'm not driving fast this van has worst mpg than my 2003 Honda Odyssey! I don't know whats going on

Thanks! I have ordered the lining should be here in couple days and tire is fixed and good now .

A strong magnet would not work?

So the other day I making a turn than accelarating and hear a big clinking noise from the right rear so I pulled over to see what's up well I picked up something with the tire and that thing was spined around the wheel housing and ripped of the liner that cheep crap ford puts in the back , of course I got a flat tire as well. When I got the van I wrote my first impression and I was disappointed to see that cheep wheel liner made of some kind of fabric treated with something to keep its shape an the front has the plastic one I guess it is fords way to save money arrrgggg. So that metal thing I picked up was dangling with the tire and left a small dent on that air went pipe going to the gas tank and left some mark in the fender nothing too serious, but this shows that if it would be some plastic it would have survived this incident. I called ford to see how much that liner is and it is $98. It is a ridiculous price for that but I have no other choice I need to have it there to protect the body from dirt and water etc.. Well I got the tire fixed with a plug and a patch from inside of course and it is OK now, I had a chance to see the tire pressure sensor and yes it has a small battery. The spare tire don't have a sensor I believe because I had the low tire pressure warning on even my spare tire had 46psi but as soon as I picked up the fixed tire and put it in the back to take it home so I can swap it my self, and soon as I placed it in the back of the van the warning went off I guess the sensor sent a signal pressure is OK even tire was not installed. Flat tire happens it is just unfortunate that it did this much damage but no one got hurt.

For fun lol

I agree this is very annoying always comes on when I open a door than drains the battery if you doing things in the car going back and forth comes on for no reason.....I like to turn it off as well just like auto lock but at least you can turn that option off

the 2014 TC has a folding down passenger seat
-
The TC not listed unfortunately

The manual says you get lower mpg in the winter, I also using regular gas I used to use mid grade until recently ,the van seems to ride the same way.

Nice to live in the good weather all the time I'm jealous its getting cold in NY☺ That makes sense its sucks there is no option to have it installed by ford where do you think you will get it installed does it goes on with double sided tape or something or you need to make a hole?
-
I know waiting is exciting and painful Why you need a keypad you don't like the remote ?
-
That's a nice find thanks!! I'm OK with the capless design but if the fuel fill up door would be lockable that would be better, but this would works fine too, simple way to do it I guess you spending a lot of time on the net researching everything about your upcoming TC ☺

2014-2015 Transit Connect Recall

They don't want to be sued. -
Now I'm reading your post again I think we are experiencing the same thing and I think it can be improved or eliminated by the way you drive i think it is the characteristic of this transmission. It is weird because when I drive slow and I'm braking than I am about to step on the gas again I know it is gonna like (kick) happen by watching the revs of the engine.
-
What I notice is let's say you are accelarate from a stand still and you keep pressing the gas pedal than you lift your foot of from it so the car slowing down than you starting to press the gas again and the transmission gets a little confused I guess and you fill a kick like its shift back or like when you drive a manual and let the clutch out . While it should just stay in the previous gear. It is a little difficult to explain. If you felt it you know what I'm talking about. Also I would prefer it to shift to 6th sooner I think its holds the 5th too long on the highway for no reason in my opinion . in order to shift sooner I need to rew it higher. That kick thing occurs mostly when you pause accelerating in lower gears maybe 2-3 and than you step on the gas again
-
I guess it is convenient that don't have to deal with the cap but to be able to lock it would better for me
-
Thanks for the info however that stil don't really explain why can't I put close to 16.5 gallon of fuel to my tank when my trip computer showes 4miles to empty its been happened the last two times when I was filling up and I allowed two clicks from the pump to be sure I'm all the way full one time little fuel came out because I try to go for the third click ,I'm going to get a small fuel container and drive over the 0 to empty and see what's happens ,I should be able to drive other 40 miles if I have at least 2 more gallon fuel in the tank because those two occasions I was only able to put 14.25 gallon fuel so there should be 2 more gallon left.
