HID lights and LED's
zepper replied to Workin Wagon's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lights, Mirrors, Window Tint & Wipers
Ebay has ooooodles of HID kits and LED lights. Just make sure you check feedback as not all HID kits are created equally. There was another member here who had replaced all interior lights with LEDs already--looked sharp. Let us know which ones you decide on. You should also post up install sequence pix for others. -
PM/Email sent to NCranchero. Thanks man!

Has anyone taken their armrest off the driver seat? How easily did it come off? Roland did you take yours off yet?? I don't have a transit yet, but what I intend to use it for probably will require removal of the armrest. I know this question should be posted in a diff category but it didn't get any hits over there so I thought I'd try here. Thanks.

Saw they make an aftermarket one in the UK market for 85 Euros or so. It is a wide arm rest that fits between the seats and works for driver and passenger. Now a different question, has anyone taken their armrest off the driver seat? How easily did it come off?

Take it in to a Toyota dealership, i think they've had some experience with these types of issues.

Thanks, Roland. I am an avid tire pressure checker myself. Trickle down effect of racing motorcycles. So it sounds like the solution is dash dis-assembly and pulling the light bulb or possibly the fuse if one exists for the TPMS.

Well it looks like I've secured my transit connect, I pick it up March 31st and I guess I'll know on April 1st if i am a fool or not. Anyway I am already picking out aftermarket wheels for the transit and I am wondering what other people have done in regards to the Tire Pressure Monitoring System with their aftermarket wheels? Anyone not install the sensors on their new wheels? What error codes? Dash light? Anoying Beeps? thanks!

Ok great, thanks Ed.

Hey Ed, I was wondering if they mentioned when the 2011's would be showing up? I know they're stock piled with 2010's but just curious. Thanks

MiniCooper, I have to agree with Madlock, there are many wheels available for the transit connect. Almost any modern Volvo wheel will fit it. (5 x 108 and offset in the 45-60mm range hooray for small brakes) As a plus the ford center caps will fit the volvo (ford owned company) wheels as they are probably manufactured but the same supplier. In Europe they fit 19" wheels from Ford Mondeo Rs' that look really good but i think i'll go with a more modest 17". Hey guys can you post some links to the articles detailing the updates for 2011?? I just sold my truck so i am in the market and i loves doin my research. Thanks!

The Ford VIN check is a great idea thanks!!!

Hi all, Since deciding on the Transit for my next do-all camper/race hauler, I've sold my trailer and will be selling my 2004 F150 in an effort to go straight accross into the Transit (i.e. no financing, just paying cash) . In order to do this I will probably pick up a low mile used one. I've been scouring the Auto Trader for listings here in california but as of yesterday there was exactly 1 in cali and approx 55 in the USA. Here in Cali we have strict emissions laws and rules regarding out of state vehicles being bought and brought in and registered. One of the requirements is 7700 miles on the clock, not really a problem, the other is 50 state emissions approved stamped on the VIN plate in the door. I know they make the transit as a 49 state vehicle but I am wondering if there are other states out there that get it as a 50 state vehicle besides California. This possibility would broaden my search. What would be really ideal is if Wisconsin or South Carolina got 50 state vehicles as I have family in those states. Can you guys and gals check your VIN plates for me and report back??

Tugrik, I am sure you already know of this option for your Alpine but for the others out there thinking of upgrading your Transit's sound system and integrating a back up camera this might be the snazziest way to do it!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-HCE-C107D-REAR-VIEW-CAMERA-for-iXA-W404-iXA-W407_W0QQitemZ360239819226QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item53dff769da Pretty cheap too.

Cool, thats reassuring. Makes good sense with the tax credit. Buy it for $21000 Get $10,000 back and sell it for $18,000, is that right? Still haven't seen any used silver ones!!

WOw thats sharp!

Nice TDI, Is the second to last photo a day time running light? What is the last photo showing?

I just took a peek at autotrader.com as I am still looking for my transit and there were kind of a lot of used transits with less than 5,000 miles on them. A little alarming. What gives? Buyers remorse?? Anybody out there over 5,000 miles and still loving theirs?
