  2. Hi Scotsy, This is the USA transit site, thanks for joining, unfortunately we only have the Petrol focus motored transits over here. You may want to try fordtransit.org that is the UK site. Our site has a lot of cool info, just not for the diesels. Sorry

    hub cap needed

Porky you'll probably want to try fordtransit.org the UK transit connect site as those hubcaps are different than ours over here in the USA.
  4. JJ Cobra--you had it right. It was the screw driver in the door pocket! And Azdamay, I have that same rattle/wind noise issue at the leading edge. I thought i was the only one since I had the weather stripping repaired, I thought that they might have glued it in just a bit wrong when they fixed the hanging gasket. I did notice that periodically I can close the door "just right" and I don't get that sound. So I think it is curable.
  5. Oh I didn't event think about the door pocket! I have a screwdriver and some other misc items. I'll try taking them out and seeing if that does it. If not I'll take it to the dealer and let them check under the dash to see if some of the vent ducting has come loose or something it sounds like it is 8" behind the vent on the LH side of the steering wheel but who knows, maybe the sound just comes through the vent best. And Nranchero I am already walking that tight rope of shitty speaker distortion and road rattles. New speakers would be so cheap and easy, just can't find the time! Thanks guys.
  6. So a pirate walks into a bar an orders a Captain and Coke. Bar tender says, "Sure buddy and what's with the huge ship's steering wheel mounted on the front of your pants--looks like it hurts!?!?" Pirate says, "YA HARrrr! It's drivin me nuts!" Any way in the same fashion I have a rattle and its drivin me nuts. It seems to be behind the vent to the left of the steering wheel. It gets really loud on idle and seems to smooth out at speed. If I hold/adjust the vent nothing happens, it seems to be deeper in the dash. Anybody else have the same one, and better yet, had it fixed?? Thanks.
  7. Thats ok man.....good lookin out.
  8. Oh yeah I posted up a link to that LIMO Transit awhile back. Congrats on it. Liked the leather! I agree, you'll probably be shredding through transmissions. Not sure that there is much that can be done about that. I was wondering if you could order a rebuilt trans from one of the Euro RS focus that could maybe handle the additional power. But the trouble might ultimately be in the weight of the transit not really the power. Not sure if that would bolt up. Good luck and do keep everyone posted. B)

    More Noise

Here's the ticket! Cheap too! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Universal-3-Square-Dual-Titanium-Tip-Exhaust-Muffler-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZModelQ3aTransitQ20ConnectQQhashZitem45f8b3ace4QQitemZ300525268196QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  11. If you do a search of this site, you'll find that someone has posted a PDF of the Transits wiring diagram. Can't remember where its at.
  12. Cool, are you thinking about installing an air horn Flying Media? My transit's horn is pretty weak.
  13. Whoa Woody, why are you yelling buddy!? I know the traction control is important stuff but you don't have to shout. (caps lock on forums is shouting)
  14. Two words. Hammer & Chisel. That'll get er done.
  15. Hmmm maybe give a call to Albany Ford here in Cali. They fixed it perfectly the first time. They can probably at least tell you what adhesive they used. I think it was a 3M spray adhesive.
  16. Actually if VW brings the Caddy here, they will for sure bring the TDI. VW unlike Ford has a trained dealer network and parts supplies in the USA for their small diesel engines. The TDI would give VW an edge over Ford and all of the other small size work van manufacturers--the little diesel would be the key to their success.
  17. You need to change out your back up sensor fluid. Its freezing up on you. Go to the autoparts store, they usually keep the back up sensor fluid near the blinker fluid. Get one that is rated for -25 degrees F. That'll fix you up. Keep us posted.
  18. I would like this too. I am not sure how long mine runs but it seems to just get into the normal operating temp and it shuts down.
  19. Tried it out site works better on the iphone, but viewing the profile and comments seems problematic still.
  20. Oh I don't doubt it. I just wanted a clean compartment as opposed to jumbling bikes in every which way. Also nice to not have to use any traditional tie downs at the handle bars. I suppose when the boys wanna go dirt bike riding I'll be stacking bikes in there with a fork lift.

  21. Grocery Getter, Race Hauler (see my gallery pix), dog park cab service, chick pick er upper. I mean lets face it, the Transit is a babe magnet.
  22. The third row seats fold down in the back, perfect for poppin that Champagne! I'm not making this stuff up: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Transit-Connect-2010-Ford-Transit-Connect-Limo-Package-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2c5a282fe7QQitemZ190491144167QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
