    Cargo Cover

The North-American Connects are actually not Transits but European Tourneos converted. So you'd be looking for Tourneo Connect's cargo cover.
  2. No problems with the rear barn doors, fortunately. I wonder if they changed the headlight filaments to DOT-spec for you, because the EU-spec headlights have extremely sharp cutoff and should not glare to the oncoming traffic. Do you have adjustment roller in the dash for adjusting the beam to cargo load?
  3. I'm all for separate winter tires. Then again, we have 5-6 months of snow coverage a year and dedicated winter tires are mandatory. In past couple of years most of West Europe and many US states have realized that winter tires are good for you and it's becoming a trend. A couple of years ago UK saw winter tire installations growing from 2000 to 50K in one year. It means that All-Season myth has been busted. An all-season tire means that it works equally bad in all seasons.
  4. Heated windscreen is a Ford thing. Had it in my 1996 Escort as well. Superb. Defogs and deices in a few seconds when the engine is still cold. Unfortunately the glass shop did a poor job with the aftermarket replacement and 10" from the left won't heat up.

    Hi

    Howdy. Transit or Tourneo?
  6. The static film loses its static power over relatively short time. You could just stick black PVC adhesive film on it.
  7. I tow regularily with mine. It doesn't have the ooomph for highway acceleration or heavy inclines but it's usable. Can't even tell it's back there stability wise.
  8. Yours has a different key from that one? If not then those keys have been around since the 80's in Euro Fords. Turkey is a n00b.
  9. Stuttering or misfire? Did it puff gasoline smell out of the exhaust? Misfire can be caused by anything from ECU to plugs and between them. Stuttering may also happen because of bad injectors, clogged fuel filter, bad MAF or TPS. Bad hardware inside the engine block is the least likely. I would replace the gasoline first but you can't really pull anything from Connect's tank with a hose. I once drove by a customs' patrol near Russian border and stopped to ask for directions. So they told me to park it and checked for the use of agricultural diesel. They couldn't get a drop out of the tank with their fancy pump device, so they let me go. I think it's a bad ground somewhere.
  10. I have inreased the index by one: 65 to 70. It was visually more pleasing, less useless wheel well space and a some gained ground clearance.

    Winter Tires

I do but we get 5-6 months of snow coverage a year and they're mandatory from 1st of december to 15th of march or so. Right now I have some cheap Kleber studless winter tires. They performed adequately last winter. A rule of thumb: the narrower the tire the better it performs in snow.
  12. I wonder why did Ford supply the US with old style taillights on a facelift model.
  13. Awesome. Can't wait for my wrap.
  14. I use mine for small business: delivery, service trips, towing, etc. But then again, I pick it any time over a sedan where ever I go. It's been a relieble vehicle: over 110K miles on it and I've replaced the front suspension bushings, one tie rod end, clutch, brake work and just recently the timing belt and an engine mount (transmission side). I would love to have the facelift model (like the one in the US) with the new dashboard and cruise control but there might be a completely reworked model coming up in a year or so, so I may as well wait for that one.
  15. Great stuff! I've scheduled mine for a full wrap right after xmas (it's red, so it'll tur white with a photo on it). I have temporary graphics on it right now: http://tinyurl.com/ccrhgaz
