You will eventually have to go for an aux amplifier like I did. Got a 2x35W amp with speaker level IN, you can hook it up directly to the powered output pins. You'll need a harness or if you're into soldering and mutilating the connectors you can just make one yourself. I did. The door sheet metal is huge, you'll need to insulate them with a couple of layers of sound deadening mat per door (some kind of sticky bitumen based material). Will sound much better.

Did you bother to click on the links, Capt. Sarcasm?

The EU parts should fit the US model bolt-on, since it's essentially the same van, with the exception of lights and mirrors, radio, engine and transmission. The best parts you might want to get are the EU tail lights & brake light (for some bureaucratic reason you got the old model tail lights and a roof mounted brake light) and big dual-section mirrors.

Hi, Dave. Any European TC would be ok, most are LHD anyway. It'll be expensive tho, as it would be one-off with all the respective taxes and paperwork. The diesel options are 75, 90 and 110 hp, all with particle filters. No automatic option here, just 5M. I have the 75 hp one and it's really slow. Still, as strange as it sounds, I tend to pick my Transit instead of Mazda 6 whenever I need to go somewhere alone (it's a 2-seater). Fun to drive.

No, the hoses are failing. The oil is coming through the cracks in the hoses. Have them replaced. There's a lot of pressure in them, so fix them well. The originals are rather expensive, I've heard of some silicone hoses off ebay, much cheaper. I went for the OEMs. I guss you only have to replace them once during the lifetime of the engine. Mine failed at 185Mm.

I don't know how to disable the auto play, sorry. Nokia menu system is huge and I bet there's a switch somewhere to turn this feature off. But to have the phone stream music over BT your handsfree unit has to support A2DP protocol, which is for audio streaming. HF protocol won't work since it's for phone calls only and it'll be mono and heavily cut low / hi frequencies.

FOR SALE Transit Connect T200 L75 WRAPPED
mrtn replied to Xtreme Signs's topic in Transit Connect Parts For Sale
Nicely done. Never had alloys? -
Did you double check?

It's available here. I have cheked it out and it's a wierd machine. Narrow, long, upright seating position to the point of being uncomfortable. Too much like the 90s vans. Large boot tho. Doesn't look to be a good seller.

White is always the best base for business graphics unless you have other kind of stylebook, such as UPS or similar. I had to wrap mine to get rid of the red paint:

Next-Generation Transit Connect
mrtn replied to Transit Connect Guide's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
It reminds me more of Citroen Berlingo than Honda Element: -
In what circumstances did it blow and how? The 4-speed auto is probably a very old model anyway. A weird choice for a small displacement engine.

Awesome.

I have a 6-speed Mazda 6 GT for the same reason 8) Being a family man, a Mustang would be no go.

Looking for suggestions for new tires for 2010 Transit
mrtn replied to gordow's topic in Wheels & Tires
Look HERE -
Truck tires are not as smooth and nice to drive as passenger car tires the Connect is matched to.
-
In EU we can have any tire on the Connect as long as the size and load rating matches. I was just having the MOT done and the inspector was a bit surprised they don't require C-tires on a van with 900 kg load capability.

No, how about it?

My squeaks came from the rear stabilizer bar bushings. Sounded like a century old leaf spring.

Don't know about the relay but is it consuming any oil? My bike has the same symptoms but it's lost some cylinder pressure. Does the glow plug indicator light up? With the ignition and stay on for a few seconds?

There are replacement fascias with a 2DIN opening available.
