Ford isn't alone in the pricing of the rails. On the Dodge Grand Caravan, you cannot add factory roof racks after the fact - they have to be factory installed.

I'm wondering when Ford will move some Transit Connect production to the U.S. - or when enough volume will trigger this? Long wait times for customers obtaining their Transit Connects have been the norm since it was introduced here.
