So far, so good. I didn't get one. I haven't needed one.......yet. Almost all of my Transit Connect driving is on city streets. Nowhere to get stuck. I can always call a tow truck. Tow truck drivers are really good at wrapping a chain around your axle shaft and destroying your car. Something to consider is to have your own recovery strap. I always have one in my truck. Nothing like finding someone who is willing to help you out, you have the hook, and neither of you have a strap. Added security to have your own strap, and know that it's a good strap.
