  1. They quoted me sticker pricing but the way it works here at least, is that they don't actually charge you anything until the vehicle is issued a VIN and options are confirmed. I'll work on that on the back end I'd assume, just going with the flow for now and I have no real commitment to the order as it is right now. The dealerships in Houston are pretty blasé about the whole ordering process because it seems like either orders don't get picked up by the factory, or orders that are not picked up by customers will sell on the lot within a few days. Will definitely look into the costco program, thanks for the heads up!

  2. Agree. Use a car buying service to determine an acceptable street price. It gives you more ammo to negotiate a better dealer whether you use the service or not. I went through Costco's auto program for my 2015 Cargo XLT, ordered from the factory. It was a very easy process and there was no haggling involved. I paid a little less than dealer invoice, much less than MSRP and less than what any of the local dealers would offer me. Obviously the market is different now, but it's worth exploring if you're interested in saving some money. Good luck!

    2020 FL Blue Transit

Haven't made any permanent changes in my transit yet. Hubby removed 2 passenger side seats, I'm folding down the 2 on the driver's side and have put up some accessories/ curtains. Bought a small porta potty and a small table top size fridge that has a 12V and a 110 plug. Still have plans to put an inverter to have on board electricity but wanted to stay overnight as a test. Fortunately was cool, so didn't need a/c. Fun success! Hubby has a promaster, so I'm fortunate to have his knowledge to help me. ☺️
