N0n3
On a regular basis I get locked out of my 2016 TC. All sorts of situations. Key in ignition engin running, not running, on seat. Today while clearing snow off vehicle with engine running to melt ice I got locked out. Mirrors didn’t fold. Help!

Fifty150
Look into turning your "autolock" function on and off.
JackGrimshaw
I've had it happen to my 2016 numerous times.I hate it when a vehicle thinks it smarter than I am. The first few times I thought I may have bumped the buttons but now just assume a "glitch in the chip". Along with a Swiss Army knife,I carry an extra key with the battery removed because I have also locked the van by bumping my pocket. I'm just glad there is still a key hole in the drivers door, otherwise I would have to carry around a rock.
Fifty150
You can look over the owners manual. That probably won't help. The condition which you described, where the van locks itself, with the key in the ignition, is not suppose to happen unless you are moving. Try first turning the Auto lock on. Then turning the Auto lock off. If you disable Auto lock, then it should not lock automatically.
N0n3
Checked auto lock. Not the issue. Disconnected battery for 1/2 hour to reboot computer. Not sure if it had a back up battery on board, but manual indicated that after battery disconnect it takes a bit for van to run normal until it recalibrates. This implies a reboot. Also bought a “glove box key” for $20 at Ford dealer. Likely if I’d bought the key in beginning the problem would have never appeared. thanks for the replies. N0n3
Hasn’t happened again. Was afraid if I posted this I’d get locked out today. I’ll post if it truly work in a few weeks.
N0n3
Computer reboot seems to have worked. Problem has not reoccurred. Might work for other peculiar behaviors as well. Thanks
Fifty150
Sometimes, that's all that it takes.
